This pic of Gajser with his new #1 and red plate below has prompted my question:
Is there a reason we don't honour the newly crowned champs with a parade/victory lap of sorts sporting their new #1 red plate post race? I would assume timing would be a bit of an issue with TV/podium requirements and all, but I think it would be awesome, if even for the local media only after all official ceremonies are done. Fit each champ's bike with their new plates and either a parade lap for the fans and/or even just for some whips over the finish jump or a large jump outdoors with the pyro's going off in the background etc. Would make for great PR and marketing material for associated sponsors/ad campaigns going forward.
Thoughts?

They used to do it. RC at the end of 04’s perfect season he did a victory lap around Glen Helen.
