As the title says ive got .5 acre lot that im thinking about using for a tiny track. Obviusly not for big bikes. My 7 year old just moved to a 65 and is still pretty sketchy on it. So i plan on making this a tiny turn track with a few little jumps 10-15 ft. Has anybody ever done it?

You can build a big bike track on half acre if want it’s just gonna be small, depends on the layout of the property, but yeah half acre you can do a nice little track

Depending on the shape you could build a nice AX track on half an acre.

If its for 1 or 2 riders, it doesn't have to be like your standard local track wide so you can maximize your space.

Im trying to come up with a sx or ax style layout for just about the same size possibly a little bigger than .5 acres but I'm sure that if it was done right we could get an awesome track fit in there along the lines of a fair race mx track with more rhythm sections.

A perfect square acres is 209’x209’. So basically your track would be roughly 100’x200’. Just make sure you build all your 100’+ long jumps, in the 200’ direction. You should be fine.

I have two tracks and the one I built for my 5 year old son is on about a half acre. The biggest thing I found as an obstacle was ensuring if he blew through a corner he wouldn’t smack a fence!

We did a Figure 8 track that (turned) out to be a lot of fun, then added a jump...which my lovable knucklehead son whiskey throttled his bike into the neighbors yard. Thankful for good neighbors...true story.

Keep in mind you can also build the straights to go both ways or criss cross each other. Especially if it's just for 1 person. You don't have to have a track that lays out like a normal track. I had a small track and one of my tabletops you could hit from all 4 directions. Just have to get creative and think outside the normal standard.

Assuming its a rectangle have roughly a 208' x 104' area to deal with, that gives you enough to make something.
