Actually it's $45k in pro purses over the next 3 weeks in North Texas.

It kicks off with the $10k Buffalo Creek pro-am this weekend in Canton, TX. Followed by the $10k Cancer Benefit Racce at River Valley MX in Boyd, TX. on Oct. 7th. Then it wraps up at the $25k Pro Challenge at Swan.

Heads up: it's "First Mondays" in Canton (south of I20 and 3 miles south of the track) this weekend. Expect 300K+ folks to cram that area for the largest flea market/trade fair in the US. So don't get too excited when approaching the exit and seeing a multitude of vehicles.

Here's an overhead of Buffalo Creek. More sandy than most tracks. $10K purse this w/e.

Ya never know. Canard was there in 2009, The Wharton's are frequent racers. More important than the names you know are the ones you don't. Some guys named Dean Wilson and Kyle Regal were there kicking ass before anyone knew who they were. Lance Vincent, Chris Plouffe, Zach Osborne, Jason Anderson are also recent "who dem?" that you regularly see on Saturday TV now. Before that Windham, Pastrana and a bunch of other nobodies. That's what makes it a great race to see.

There were about 50 pros at River Valley's Cancer Benefit Race last year and Shane Sewell took home most of the money. Regal and Lemoine were out there practicing last Thursday so it looks like they'll be there this year.

BTW, the link you posted has the wrong website link for River Valley in Texas. The correct website is www.rivervalleymotocross.com

I didn't know that many pros went in it! That's awesomeSmile I wish I lived in Texas haha! And I can't believe I messed the link up, when I was writing I was thinking why is there a race in Oklahoma for the Texas Triple shot lmao. Thanks so much for pointing that out!

Some dude named Bogle won last year. Where's he from?

Too bad Top Jimmy won't be there this year. He usually does it.

Video put together by Munn Racing from last week's 2nd part of the triple shot, the Lynn Nickerson Cancer Benefit at River Valley. Results still aren't posted that I've found so I'm not sure how it all broke down. Gannon Auddette was killing them taking 3 out of 4 motos but then had a mechanical in his last 450. Just like last week it threatened to rain out so I think that scared a lot of people away. We never actually got any rain but it sure looked like the skies would open up all weekend.

There is no rain in the forecast this weekend for the $25k Pro Challenge, that should be some good racing to watch.

Cool video, hope someone does one for the pro challenge this weekend! I am ready for Friday! Got myself a four day weekend of nothing but moto! Why did we get pulled from sticky status?

Who knows. Gibby has a limited amount of space and has always been a good guy about sticking this up there.

I use to love the Pro Challenge. I used to go every year and watch when in one day they had both 250 moto's then the 450 moto's then the Freestyle. I could care less about the freestyle and I understand why Trey changed the pro motos to two days. I'm guessing so the Pro's have plenty of time to rest. What I don't understand is why he would do that to the fans that drive a long way to watch the races. It's not worth driving two days in a row to watch two 30 minute motos. I didn't go last year and my friends and I aren't going this year. It's a gamble which day to show up to see the top talent. I have to let my ex know ahead of time so I can plan out my weekend. Hopefully, Trey changes it back to the old way because I looked forward to it every year.

I'm not a huge fan of it either, but I understand it because he's also trying to cram a lot of amateur events into the weekend as well. And, now that the Open class runs both motos on Saturday, and is a true *Open* class, the 250 guys roll em into the gate alongside the 450s on Saturday. And, if they feel like sticking around to run the 250 class on Sunday, they can do that, too. Or pack it in. Or just come for Sunday.

Those Open motos are pretty epic. There were 63 riders in the class last year, with Bogle doing the most damage on his 250..
