I try to refrain from being a spam-nerd all year long so I have enough grace to get away with this in the fall. Gibby occasionally even stickies it (hint, hint).

If you want to see (or race) next year's badasses, come to Swan in Tyler, Texas October 3rd. Almost forgot: $25,000 reasons to ride it, too

Why?

Well, last year saw Kyle Regal, Dean Wilson, Tevin Tapia, Blake Wharton, Tyler Wharton and Matt Lemoine (and I know I left a lot of names out) doing battle to portend the riders people have been talking about this season. Windham, Reynard, Pastrana and Lots lots more have all done it. Why not you?

(No, I don't get paid. I just like the folks and the race).

That track is probably my favorite track too, and thats an awesome race.

You guys that liked Cooperland aint seen shit until you have raced Swan when its nice and rough and moist and rutted down in the trees, and hard packed power slides up on the top half.

Good stuff.

Despite my urging to seek early pro commitments, Trey never has. They sign up Friday night or Saturday morning like everyone else.

Pure speculation, but I'd be surprised if the Wharton bros, Lemoine, Cunningham, Reynard, Wil Hahn, Tevin Tapia, Keith Johnson and Hackley aren't there. I also think Regal would most definitely race if he wasn't hurt. Last year, when he was quadding a section everyone else was tripling, everyone was "Who is THAT guy?". Well, now you know. Probably a little soon for him to get back on the bike. K-Dub's been known to be there, too. Trampas Parker plus local hotshoes Jesse Moore usually make it, too.

It's a fun, fun day. And then he switches on the lights and they race some more.

It's a great track, and event. Always some excellent talent there.

Bring dark colored gear though, the soil has a way of turning white stuff orange.Wink

Trey Canard and Jimmy Albertson are going also. I think Trey said something about riding 450 class on a 250

Yep. I just exchanged emails with Kari. Guess we'll get to see how he's healing up. I have a feeling this is going to be a kick*ss race.

A lot of guys have run their 250s very successfully in the big bike class.

I just looked at the rules- No 250F's in the 450 class and no 250 two strokes in the 250F class.
Bike Guidelines:
· 125/250F classes include 125cc 2-stroke and 250F 4-stroke

· 250/450F classes include 250cc 2-stroke and 450F 4-stroke

Just got off of the phone with Trey Clingfost at Swan MX. Trey asked me to pass this along as OFFICIAL.

For the 4 Pro Challenge motos (only) this Saturday the following rules on displacement will apply:

250 Class - 125cc two-strokes and 4-strokes up to 250cc may be entered.

'450' class - This will be an 'Open' class. You may run what you brung 125cc and above.

In other words, Lone Star Series rules apply to every class but the 450 Pro. 450 Pro will be an Open class on Saturday only.

This information supersedes anything you might read anywhere else.

That's a bunch of BS. Put the 250 2 strokes in the 250F class also, if you are going to make your own rules.
