Just spit ballin here so i don't forget. I will write more later. But with the depth of talent in this sport. Whit riders careers lasting longer. More guys to fast for 250's but not good enough to make a living in the 450s. Go back to the days of the late 80s early 90s. Give more riders a chance to ride and progress?

Yes a 125 2t class, or a 500 2t class! Separate the men from the boys !lol
But there needs to be a class for the non factory riders, or the journeyman that doesn’t have a shit ton of money to spend!

A proper 125 class like they run in MXGP could be interesting.

125!
All the badasses we had BITD smoked the 125.
And that's not easy. Not saying going as fast as the next guy on a 250F is easy, but the 125 is a great teacher.

8 Lap 125 race, just like the local tracks in the 90,s. With no age limit.

Agreed a 125 2T/S is needed, TV, Feld and maybe teams want none but it should be the right thing to do.

Actually the healthiest choice would be 350, 200 & 120 cc. Long lived the 450.

125 - 250 - open/500

No stroke discrimination. Maximum CC per class / can race lower displacement bike in any higher class.

Production rule for 125 and 250. Open is open except displacement and no mods that could potentially be unsafe - major frame mods, etc...

Could you imagine 125’s trying to negotiate the tracks the last 3 weeks...

production spec(all manufacturers stock bike, only allowed revalved suspension, all engine and suspension components must remain stock) 250f racing.. for the younger less experienced guys...

1 Main event per SX, after the 450 LCQ, 10min +2.. (Have to Qualify during the day show, during SX)
1 Moto During Outdoors.. takes place after 450 moto 1, 20mins +2

Would be a hell of a class for exposure and could keep costs and speeds down while grooming the next generation without a ton of pressure.

well both EMX and Canadian MX have a 125 series so i feel thats a pretty obvious one as theyre cheap and can easily accommodate a variety of riders from varying ages and skill levels

250fs are now putting out nearly as much HP as a 250 two stroke so thats kind of the de facto "250" class now and the 450s are clearly open bikes

As ever, it's pretty bloody simple :

125, 250, and 450s ( just to make sure no one thinks I'm one of those doodles who thinks 500 2Ts - I ride one - will come back ) but, I'd like a 500 'anything' class.

As to any sort of 'handicap classing' that some here have put forward : F**K No!. It's just complete and utter BS that we've had to put up with for far too long. It is not needed, 4T race bikes have long left the " foo foo bike" era .

125, 250 and 450. That is how it should be and equal displacement rule for both two and four strokes

Martin and Ferrandis would have been competitive in either class. I'm out on the cherry picking classes, that's when I do other stuff waiting for the big show. The races are too long for normal entertainment with too many breaks.

1 Premier Class any bike, 3 20 minute motos.
2 Filler Classes in between, 1 Mini and 1 18 years and under any stock bike.

The stupidest move in the sport was the double displacement rule just killing the 125 class which was the best selling MX bike and also a good entry level to the sport.

250 limited, 250 mod, 450.

Get a pretty good idea of who has real ability on the come up.

I've never been able to figure out a reason for a displacement limit in the open class. What, is someone going to bring a 900cc bike? And, what would it matter if someone did? At some point you have all of the power you can use, and beyond that you are just adding weight.

We'd all love a 125 class. I think the current state of affairs with a saturation of talent and a willingness to let careers evaporate instead of thrive with a new class will push the creation of new promoters and a new series.

The 3rd class realistically would be the 250A am class where reynolds and hammacker are now
