Let's just get this done and over with. Tim, come to the USA and race the outdoors please
Heal up guys
The Shop
Tonus looks like the Europe version off Josh Grant. Really Nice riding style and having some days the speed to beat everyone, but always and every year a injury and setback.
Gasjer is a really big bummer, really looking forward to see him battle for the title, but most likely he will be out off it.
Losing 5 out of the top 20 before the season starr isnt good for the "spectacle" because even if the guy from 'your' country is 'only' an 18th place guy, you still follow and support him..
and that might apply to 3 or 4 riders from various countries
Then as it often happens a couple more get injured early on, theres a whole drop in peoples interest.....the rv case study a prime example..
but the first race in Quatar is always a weird race with a smaller starting grid as smaller teams opt out because of budget
in SX you have Roczen , Barcia and before Musquin and Tomac injured ... thats 4 out of the top 5 ... bit different in my opinion
Pit Row
Anyway i know what you mean and that the top tier are the draw cards to attend a race and to pay for tv, and promotion wise, people who ride here know ac222 jh94, etc. and their english is next to zero and they live in a bubble essentially..for lower placed guys theyd have no idea...nor care........but if one of their guys was competing and doing okay, like in the lower half, the interest would go off the scales.
He didn't miss Brazil 2009 because of an injury. That was the last race of the season and many guys didn't do it because it really made no sense.
