Wow... DVR'd the show just cause I was interested in the controversy over its cancellation because it was too conservative in Tim's politics so Fox picked it up... The first episode last Friday, Tim and his grandson are ordering parts, working on a KX 65 through the episode telling the family they are working on a birdhouse project ?. They showed the bike broken down in the garage while the boy was wrenching on it... Maybe there is hope for the future of our sport (& our country) ?!

I didn't know what a dirt bike was until I was 12. Before that every time I saw a dirt bike I thought it was some kind of lame rice burner motorcycle.
I don't think a lot of the viewers even knew it was a dirt bike.
The day I first caught supercross on TV in 1996, I immediately knew dirtbikes were the coolest thing on Earth.

I grew up with bikes before that. But that was the same year I started watching it on TV. Not sure how delayed the races I watched were (probably several days watching the US broadcast in Australia). But that was without a doubt the coolest thing on the planet for me and I swear next to no one cared about it here.

Reminds me of when Ricky on Silver Spoons got a Honda dirt bike from his mom after going to watch the MX races with his dad. Weirdly, it was his dad who stepped in and put the kibosh on it. Who's old enough to remember that?????
