Throttle tubes

Ive fallen approximately 1.3 million times over 30 years and this is the first time I’ve ever had one break on me. Fell over and shattered the throttle tube on my ‘18 husky, ruined the rest of the ride day. Thinking about switching over to an aluminum one. Anyone run aftermarket tubes/throttle cams on theirs? Would be nice to be able to switch up grips as well instead of the odi clamp ons. What’s worked well for you guys? Thanks guys.

After breaking my stock throttle tubes I always buy the Motion Pro Titan. Seems to work good and is more durable than stock. Buy an extra just in case. I personally don’t like the aluminum ones as they are not as smooth as “plastic” ones ( in my experience)..

for the thumb down douche, I was asking because if it was the end, you can simply cut off the very tip of a new one and use bar end plugs. It will save the tube and prolong grip life. Now GFY.

The Titan is a good tube, can't go wrong. The set up I mentioned saves you most of the time since the end is what contacts first... not too mention, simply crashes and the grip ends getting torn. Happy to help and good luck.

The Pro Taper one with the bearing for the bar end is incredible. You will never use anything else once you get one.

ZRT is next level if you want the best, real bearings on both ends, nearly indestructible too.

Pro circuit has always been the best for me. I don’t like the aluminum tubes with the bearings because they push the tube 1/2” out.

I always get a Pro Taper aluminum throttle tube, the one without a bearing; it's a direct replacement. I love how smooth it is and just the overall feel of it is fantastic vs the lightweight plastic tubes. It has a really nice snap to it and I feel like you just get a better/tighter connection between your wrist and the cable.

Personal preference, but I like the ODI grips. But if you decide to go aluminum, I’d plan on cleaning/ maintaining it on a regular basis. I’d go with the Motion Pro Titan plastic tube, if you insist on changing the ODI grips.

I’ve been running this same one for years-heard a ton of good things about the ZRT though, I might try one of those

I run the g2 billet quick turns. but they don't turn fast enough for me with limited wrist motion. I made a thread asking if 85cc throttles are quicker turn and will fit big bikes

I've always had great luck with the pro circuit tube. I've never ran the pro taper tube with bearings but have also heard good things. I clean/lube cables every 3 or 4 rides so I've always coated the bar with a light coat of grease, then a very small squirt of wd-40/silicon spray into the tube before I slip it back on. Just my experience but it's always worked great for me.

I got the pro taper one for my KTM, but it wasn't as smooth after 10 hrs or so. The metal on metal friction turned me off it. Settled for a $10 MP replacement after.

I was about to type pretty much the same reply about their tubes.
I keep a spare, with a glued and wired grip in my gear bag.

If you run Pro-Taper bars, you have to yank out that stupid plastic plug they're putting in the bar-end.
That plug is a throttle tube destroyer for sure.

Tried several on our KTM and settled on the ZRT. The ZRT, zero resistance throttle, is an excellent choice. Customer service is also top notch. Our little plastic washer piece got a little bent up, messaged them on FB and he mailed me out a pack same day! We are a dealer for them and so far ZERO complaints on the ZRT!
