It has been quite some time since I've ridden in So Cal. Although, I did plenty of riding in Gorman when I was growing up, I ended up in Washington and it isn't the same. I miss the open desert and I swear to god if my bars tag another tree.
I'm road tripping down next weekend from Seattle and staying in Hungry Valley for a few days. I was just wondering what you guys thought about I-5 MX.
I just want to have a good time and this trips been long overdue. Although I'm staying in Gorman, I'm open to checking out other places as well.

Definitely go to LACR, its a little over an hour from there and really good.. I haven't ridden Gorman since it was I-5 MX and its not going to be as good as it was back then. I have heard it has gotten way better with prep and water and I think they prep and water it on Wednesday or Thursday and its only $5 per truck not bike!! Make sure you have a spark arrestor.

I5 you’ll need a spark arrestor. It’s been decent from what I’ve seen and heard, but LACR is way better

I'll just have to check them both out then. Its the same here in Washington with regards to the spark arrestor requirement. I'll be in Gorman Sunday thru Wednesday. Probably hit LACR Thursday. Thanks

Just rode Gorman track Friday and Saturday, it’s been really good! They added in sand, roller section and lots of water. Technically the track is called Quail Canyon Motocross if you are looking on Google.

You do need a spark arrestor to get in the gate if your bike is in a pick up truck or hitch rack. If it’s in a trailer or van they can’t ask you to open it.

Prep and water is on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Sunday’s only get water from a Saturday night prep. It’s decent but not as good.

8am riding starts and typically is good until 11:30-noon, then it drys out.

Keep an eye on the wind, with the temps changing it can be wild! I saw the track will be close Oct 30-Nov 6th for an event.

LACR is definitely worth the drive.
