Haven’t bought a new MX bike since 2006.
My wallet spoke a language I’m not familiar with. I’ve had so many bikes through the years. I currently own 4 MX bikes. But I’ve never desired to own, or owned a 4 stroke.
I held out 15 years, & I finally conceded my beloved Kawasaki wouldn’t come back with a big bike 2 stroke.
So here she is, I’m proud to say I got this, but I won’t be selling my 2 strokes.
It’s a 2022 KX250 delivered to my door near Springtown, TX from Chatsworth, CA
I want to give a huge shout out to JC Gibbs, sales manager at Wheels In Motion in Chatsworth, CA
JC had this bike listed, "New" for $6450.00 and with their dealer fee's it was $7340.00 OTD
JC Gibbs made the sales transaction smooth and flawless. He knew every aspect of selling out of state. I had Zero issues through the process.
After paying shipping to my door of $750.00 my Total for this New 2022 KX250 was $8090.00
I always try to buy local, but after 10 calls to local DFW dealers nobody would touch their price.
I'll give you an example, Freedom PowerSports, probably the largest dealer in the metro, after my best deal from one of their sales managers, $9700.00 OTD So I saved $1610.00 (including shipping cost) buying from Wheels In Motion.
Guys, if your going to spend your hard earned money on a new bike, shop around, don't be afraid to go out of state. Just make sure the dealership knows how to handle all the paperwork so it goes smoothly. Then, enjoy the savings and your new ride.

Do yourself a favour (and us) and fire some two stroke pics up before the semantics police and Debbie downers show up haha.
I guess living in such a big metro area they can set their price.
Unfortunately it’s not my price.
Bike prices are suffering because last years dealer shortages let the dealers play King of the world and set the price however they wished. As the recession is looming the dealers are going to sit on these prices somewhat.
But as they say, there’s an ass for every seat, someone will pay that price.
I wanted to trade my 8h old Kawasaki kx450x in on a Ktm 500excf and even at a pretty high price they sold it as I was having negotiations.
Dfw prices are wild.
Oh and by the way i think you’ll love that kx. Solid bike.
The Shop
Nice new bike, btw. Congrats.
Been a Green Blood my whole life, they're lucky they got my money I guess as I went back and forth between staying Green or going a YZ250. But with 4 two strokes I just didn't need another.
15 years is a l-o-n-g time.
Stopped into local shop here (Motoworld) to pick up some chain lube. Walked around the floor to check out bikes in stock. MX bikes had $2100 added dealer markup.
F**k these dealer scum/thieves.
Call me paranoid, but sometimes I lock up the bike I'm not on in the pits. What you're seeing is the cable lock on the bike> Good eye though!!
After so many years with my old but great KX250 2 strokes, and YZ125, this is something I'm excited to try out
