Anyone have anything good or bad to say about the Thor Gear the last few years...

About to purchase the Core Jersey/Pant/Glove combo and the Artic camo Force Helmet...

Other brand suggestions for durability and fit? I'm 6'6" feet and 230 pounds... Not giving out my body fat percentage hahaha...

I only have bad things to say about my 2009 Thor core gear. I really like the look of the gear and got a amazing deal on all my racing gear so I ordered 3 sets of gear for the season. I ordered three pairs of core gear and all three pairs fit different. Two sets of the gear ripped in the crotch after just a couple of rides and the one pair that didnt rip never get warn cause they are super tight. I think the thor gear looks killer but i will never order there gear again.

I think the CORE pants only go upto a 38" waist, don't know if that make a difference with your size.

I had great success with thor for a couple of years a few years ago, Just ordered some 2010 thor gear last night after trying some fly gear for the year, to which the kneepatch is practically falling out. The 2010 thor core stuff is supposed to be lighter this year, wonder if it will be just as strong...heres hoping

THOR gear is ugly and the belt breaks on the pants all the time. THOR gear is junk.

I've been wearing Thor gear for years and have had very good luck with it. It seems to hold up well and is comfortable for me. I'm 6' tall and vary between 185 and 200 pounds. My only complaint is on my last pair of Phase pants the cinch on the belt doesn't really stay tight. I like the buckle on the Core much better.

My son ordered two sets of Thor Core gear last year both the same size, one set fits perfectly and the other he couldn't get the pants done up they were so much smaller.

hahaha...oops, sorry don't know why I just burst out with a laugh. I swear I did not even read who was postingCool
Between Halloween and Valentines Day my Levis run smaller than they used to.
This off-season, I am really trying to do a vigorous 40-minute workout at least every other day. I rolled my clean bike into my workout area for inspiration!

It was pretty much the same story for me. I really loved the look of the '09 Core stuff, and it fit and worked well.

For me though, it just didn't hold up at all. The crotch tore apart fairly quickly, and the vents on the hips simply came apart/unglued....leaving these big holes in the leg where they were supposed to be. It's too bad, I really liked the stuff.

The new Thor force helmet is garbage. The visor breaks the first time you look at it wrong and then they charge you an arm and a leg for it.

I love mine. Fits great, holds up great. Roomy enough in the knees. No complaints from me.

had 4 sets of core and 1 set of ac gear last year. all the knee panels ripped to shreds, 2 belts broke, 2 pair were loose 1 perfect and 2 were tight (all size 34) tore the butt out in a couple pairs. The jerseys were fine though. Also the ac gloves are my favorite gloves ever.

I have yet to be able to get a new visor for my 09 Core helmet, called Thor directly and they sent me a plain white one in the interim but they haven't had any visors for months.

I had all the same problems with Thor that most of you have had!

I have always liked Oneal Hardware for its perfect fit and durability. Their helmets were always super light and fit well but the new ones are all fiberglass and feel heavy plus it slides down on my goggles in the front so it makes me crazy having to push it up all the time as i ride!

I must admit I haven't checked in about a month riding season is over up here but prior to that PU and Thor had none in stock for an extended period of time. Thanks, for the heads up.

It's a little hard to find. They list it as an accessory kit in the apparel book. But if you search the number on Partsnet it comes up as a visor kit.

And yes to everyone, I am a dealer Thor runs very small and the crotches were ripping out last year. They know it was a problem and have appearently fixed it for the 2010 line.

So you've been able to confirm that visor is in stock? Last time I checked about a month ago they were out with no potential arrival date, even went as far as phoning Thor directly and they couldn't help but did send me a plain white one in the interim.
