Why wtf? The guy is faster then the privateers on Yamaha I'm sure of that.
This isn't out of left field to you?

These 250 teams make the oddest picks for fill in rides.. Sure, don't pick the guys that are in the main or close every weekend who a lot of people already know. Choose some guy who no one has ever heard of. Seems like a solid strategy, and great for marketing.

He is pretty quick at SX- decent rider really.

Will be interesting to see how he does and an interesting opportunity.
Think he could even surprise some results.... Expect him to make the mains from what I seen and better even.

That's where he has been. He rips it would be nice to see him get a shot when he is healed up. Hauled ass as a amateur then never got a chance

More than likely the team listened to Dylan Ferrandis' input on who should replace him.

I guess they also pretty much felt none of the available US based riders would do much better on factory equipment.

This is the type of move that usually either ends up being 'genius' or 'disastrous'. I don't think he will end up doing so-so.

Didn't he and Sobeyras have some pretty nice battles in the French arenacross series? Cool to see him get the opportunity. Hopefully he makes the best of it.

Not sure of the connection but could they not move one of the riders from the Cycle Trader/rock river team or the Traders racing team over to star racing. Maybe bump Hartranft, renzland up or nick gaines since I thought his deal was for only 4 races. Something like last year when motoconcepts let macadoo go as a replacement rider for Geico.

It's actually the UK arenacross series but most of the time the top 5 are Frenchies lol.

| ?? THE DREAM OF A LIFE | As you certainly could seen I've got an amazing opportunity to ride for Yamaha Factory Star Racing as fill in rider for the remaining rounds of the AMA SUPERCROSS East Championship. First I'm really sorry for the injured riders, as a professional rider we know how much work these guys puts to win races and championship and we don't like seeing them injured. I would like to thanks my team @sr75worldteam and @swanie387 to make it happened, I could never thanks enough to these guys. I haven't ride a 250 for maybe 6 years but I feel better laps after laps and i will give 100% to do the best. I would like to thanks my team, @robcooper87 and my personal sponsors to let me live this amazing journey. Now it's time to jump on the plane and head to St Louis !

The guy did great, star would be stoked. Even as a biased Australian I don't think Dan reardon would do much more for them. Dans upside is higher but I feel like a hassle free replacement (sponsor wise) that will put it in the main is as good as it gets.
