1. Bob More and Trampas Parker - did they ever race in the U.S., or did the go from Amateur straight to the World Championships? This seems uncommon now, if that's what they did. Usually it's the opposite, guys head over to the GP series once their careers here start to diminish.
2. Schmidt was pulled off the track by the Ref., but did he eventually win the title that year?
The Shop
A year later the two young guns Everts and Albertyn joined the class, as did Kurt Nicoll who stepped down from the 500cc class - I still have a compilation of the whole 1993 series (and full coverage of the 1993 British GP) on video.
But anyway cool vid. Anyone else think the track looks much rougher back in those days?
2. Never raced there but that track looks like it should be grippy, but seems in reality to be really slick.
3. I think all modern tracks cut up less than back then. Why's that? Suspension? Too much grading?
4. 'Robert Herring' = Rob Herring = 'Rubber Ring' as he was known in the UK.
Great video, just epitomises what real motocross is(was) all about. Nothing better than a natural, grassy Unadilla track!
I've tried finding the code, but haven't had any luck particularly with flash videos
