He got smoked (no pun) at the big whip contest. Did not even make finals.

Hodges is very good but a guy like McNeil "slays" him.

Okay? I was just posting an insane whip. I personally think the video I posted looks cleaner and is just as backwards as the McNeil one.

They're all bad dudes. I personally like this style of whip better.

Why hasn't anyone done a flat 360 yet? These guys are half way there and have the momentum to carry through. The 360s, not to take anything away from them appear to be more on a backflip axis. I understand the difficultly, considering a double can can used to be considered contest worthy. To stop your rotational axis seems more difficult than keeping your head turned for a 360 on a bmx style horizontal axis.

Ronnie Faisst did the most BMX style 360 that I’ve ever seen at the x-games a little while back

I have always had the same question. I didn't realize anybody had actually done the flat 360. Thanks for posting.

Those videos above are pretty dang crazy. I've always been more a fan of the traditional looking whips though. Maybe with a little flare thrown in for shits and giggles.

I want to see someone throw a barrel roll whip someday. Mike Jones tried way back in the day but couldn't pull it off.

Personally I prefer the more traditional looking whips but it's amazing how a simple whip has progressed to what they are today.

I remember when Ronnie Renner was the king of whips and throwing them upside down. Now they're practically going all the way backwards and back.

Awesome.
No it doesn't. Physics are what makes these tricks possible. It's simply a combination of gyro (around the steering stem) and the rider pushing and then pulling the bike back around.

Way to go, man -- straightened OP right up. It was clear that he quite literally believed whipping a motorcycle tore holes in the known physical properties of the universe.

McNeil may have a bigger whip but has no style its such a rough and ragged whip, Hodges style kicks ass he has the best whip in the game imo right now no one throws reverse whips of gaps like that dude

I thought this one was pretty crazy for a dirt jump and for a guy who primarily races

Lets agree to disagree.

But whips are subjective. No one has the real answer of who is the "best". So we are in a sense both right and wrong.

The problem with whips is that ultra gnarly whips aren't usually the most eye-pleasing, at least not to me. There's no doubt that Mcneils whips are incredible, but I'd take one of K-dubs whips or even one of Josh Hansen's superslow anti-whips any day of the week.

I really like this kind of whips Woohoo

What they are doing these days is insane!
However, the standard whips like this are the most eye-pleasing to me. Each to their own though, that's what is so great about opinions. Cool
