I spun the most laps on a bunch of beat up sand tracks that we just laid out in fields and they would get so whooped out most guys thought we were crazy for riding them, but after a good rain a sand track is epic. Most laps on race tracks, I would say, Claverack & Royal Mtn both in New York and Southwick in Mass. These 3 tracks were all within 1.5-2 hrs from me and Between the 3, I could race 15-20 a year. All 3 tracks are affiliated with different organizations, so I never really chased points. All 3 are still operating today.

Don’t know status of any of these but spent the bulk of 10 years on them.

Aztec
Watkins
Berthoud
Erie
Pueblo
Cheyenne
Lakewood
Wildrat

Probably missing some.

Also have ridden a ton in the hills of Grand Junction, CO.

Have spent a lot of time on all the tracks in California, Texas, Florida over the winters.

Wish I could remember them all....

Since 1972, with some short closures here and there for neglect and ownership changes.

Tex Raceway, Alvin Texas. Ran zillions of laps there in the early 80’s.

I think it’s now called Ultimate MX. Yes, still open.

Pagoda MC and Sleepy Hollow in late 80' to late 90's for sure!!! We raced a lot at Hurricane hills in Clifford Pa as well. I miss those days. I was a member at Pagoda for 5+ years and it was open to members unprepped during the week. I definitely raced the most at Sleepy though!

That was my family’s track! I grew up racing and working it my whole life. We all miss it so much!

That was originally called "The Pit" in the mid-70's and then later West Florida MX.

Raced there many a time until the early 80's.
We were West Florida Mx Park for 20 years. My dad owned it with a partner in the early 80s before reopening it from like 91-08 or so. Such good times!

Who was your Dad, Bob or Craig?

I can never drive down I-10 without looking down Hwy 87 thinking about that track.

In the REAL old days you could even see it through the trees from the interstate.

Craig is my dad. Bob only owned it with him for a short time in the early days. Craig lives down in South Florida now. I’m out in California.
