Hard to now think of things I don’t miss, it would now be sweet music to my ears to hear Ralph say “that red Honda...” if it meant I could watch some damn races

^What he said. I would give anything to spend a Saturday night watching live racing about now. I have been watching enough 90s SX to keep me entertained in the meanwhile, I am stuck in that era, big time. Watching 90s racing is making me realize that modern SX tracks are a lot like modern BMX and RC tracks.. Groomed to the max, almost to the point of being a disservice - way too perfect. If you are bored, youtube 1990-1997-ish SX races, the tracks are a real treat. You know when the best SX riders in the world look like C riders in the whoops, they are gnarly Smile

Easy, the racers getting injured.

I saw Webb’s crash live and thought he was dead. SX is a grind but so fun to watch.

People who apparently don't race complain and try to justify why their viewpoint of an incident is different (and correct) from the actual riders involved.

People bitching about SX. Sure is a lot of pessimism around here, including this thread.

Yeah, It should be non stop racing.

Screw those racers expecting to catch their breath before their next race.

Screw the track crew tuning up the track. Like Drago said "If they die, they die."

More commercial time than racing
"Fluff" pieces
"Can't thank enough" - lame PC podium speeches

Just the dead air/filler time between all of the racing.

When you can watch Netflix, Hulu, and Youtube ad free, it becomes really hard to go back to traditional cable formatting with all of the commercial breaks.

I typically prefer to DVR the live race because I can watch it later that night or next morning in about an hour.

That’s how I’ve done it ever since DVR’s came in. Even then it’s easy to catch up to live if you don’t wait until at least half the show. All I wanna see is racing, all the rest is BS IMO.

Nbcgold is ad free. They need to put ads somewhere. We are lucky they dont interrupt racing with ads.

Injuries.

Especially those that screw up someone’s start of the outdoor season. You know, where real MX racing happens! The great outdoors!

Ive made up for the lack of SX by telling people I see that I can't thank them.

The guys that are frothing at the mouth to bitch about a rider they don't like. It's sad if you watch a race for that purpose.

Man...you said it. I cant take cable or services where you're forced to watch ads. I have zero tolerance for ads anymore.

I still say KTM should do an ad that has Cooper sitting in the pit area with his feet up and eating potato chips from the Supercross trophy bowl. Queue up visuals....the #1 plate hanging behind on the Rig, the #1 plate on his 450....requisite Cooper Webb sh*t-eating grin.

Stamp it!
