The track crew needs to put whatever soda syrup alternative that actually works onto the concrete around the track. Several times now someone's crashed because they were trying to re enter the course and the front end just slides like it was on ice. That's dangerous for the track crew to dodge a sliding bike that's travelling 35mph and also for the rider hitting the deck onto raw concrete. It seems like a no brainer to me.
Are their any downsides to this?

Interlocking Chinese cheap floor mats $4-10 each. It covers up all the wires too. Safer for crashing onto. Traction.

I can't remember which 250 guy it was last week, but they almost got their spot back at the end of the sand section. Lame.
It's the same thing as when guys would crash years ago when 4 strokes had carbs. Take an extra 3 seconds, put it in neutral and it fires right up. Instead they would kick and kick and kick with the bike in gear and waste time and energy.
The answer has nothing to do with foam blocks, carpet, or more dirt. You go off the race track and you are no longer racing. Implement a 1st gear only rule and have select spots available for re-entry. This racing along side of the track pinned in third is gonna get somebody killed.
Pit Row
Keep that shit slick, should be a penalty for going off the track. Absolutely blows my mind some people just don't seem to understand that.
Seriously. Just go back - how hard is that?
Even the freestyle kids would do that.
Post a reply to: They gotta put some sticky stuff on the concrete.
