Saw this in the Pit Bits. Seems like a pretty good idea for everyone. Fairly cheap theft deterrent. Could be used in both the front and rear wheels. In most cases, thieves will walk away from something that isn't fairly easy to steal.
A while ago I read on here about a guy who's bike was stolen while the front wheel was off of the bike and inside his house. Some people are just determined I guess...
If the reward is huge then a thief will do more work than he would for a smaller reward for his thievery!
The Shop
“I went to TN to ride some trails and I found this factory KXF just laying in a muddy creek. I brought it back to Arizona, but I need help getting it back to it’s owner.”
Common now to run a “curly cord” from the lock to the front brake lever.
1. Increases visibility for potential thieves.
2. Reminds the owner.
Pit Row
That works with sport bikes no problem. Yes disc locks are a start but, hardly.
