2009 js7 vs
1998 McGrath vs
2006 Carmichael vs
2013 spoiled brat Villopoto
All on equal bikes on supercross who would win?

I pick JS7 because I have seen all these guys in person and I have never seen anyone rail a berm like JS7 and I think James was beating Carmichael at or near his prime McGrath did not have the fitness and I just don't like Villipoto from thing I have heard about him

It’s impossible to compare different era’s with different bike tech, training and physiological knowledge.
The only comparison that can be made is how they were against their competitors at the time, there is a reason McGrath is known as the King

Like him or not and despite current form, if you're throwing together supercross GOATS hypotheticals, you'll have to include Chad Reed too. The history book doesn't lie and neither does Ricky.

Although MC may be labeled the King of SX I don’t think anyone had the outright speed of Stewart, but I don’t think he would stay upright against a gate with those other 3 in the race.

MC was going against a mediocre field for a good portion of his career.

For the full 20 lapped I would go
RC
MC
RV
Stewart (fastest lap but wads it up with a 20 second lead)

RV would own the field if he was the pissed off little redhead he can be. Stewart would lawn dart. RC would be 2nd. MC would be 3rd simply because his generation didn't put in near the work that these guys did.

JS7 Wins half the time. Other time, he crashes. Then it is a toss up between JM, RC, and RV.

Outdoors, not what OP asked about, it is RC all the way, all day, e'ry day!!!!

I know I'm going to get shit for this but you should add reed in this if they would have stayed on two strokes I think he would have won a couple more championships he was so smooth on two stroke but no one could touch mcgrath in his prime but would rank it like this two storke 1.mc 2.reed 3.stewart 4.rc 5.rv four storke 1.stewart 2.rc 3.reed 4.rv 5.mc

1996 MC > 1998 MC, in my opinion.

The only hope the others have is if James crashes.

When there is an exceptional talent it tends to make the field look mediocre.

I think RC rightfully holds the GOAT title. Going to be a while until we see a rider like that again.

I’m not even going to take this terrible bait you’ve casted. I’ll just say that you only picked the best season of one of the riders. Villopoto. McGrath should be 96, Carmichael should be 02, and Stewart should be 07.

Put ALL of those riders and Bob Hannah on the same bike, and the year/setting is 1979. Bob Hannah whips them all.

Can’t argue with that. I remember a pic of MC off the line at a San Diego SX and he had a full bike length on the entire field 10’ out of the gate. It’s like how n the hell did he do that? He did have a way of making the field look weak
