Was as if it was a funeral, and not a celebration. I guess if James doesn't win it's a sad day now? WTF?

Congratulation to RV2 for making this one hell of a season!

Well, James got second and wanted first, so he wasn't too stoked, and Reed was so sick he could hardly climb off the bike so he wasn't too stoked either. I think RV was the only one who had a lot to celebrate.

Good. It means they are still racing for the win.

Disagree with you on that one, I am enjoying RV2's fast and smooth wins very much.

I guess I thought the mood in broadcast booth was similar... "oh damn, James didn't win... well congrats to Villopoto... sigh..." lol

I guess after the 2 weeks prior races, it did seem a little boring. Overall great season though!

Ryan V. is one of the most exciting riders to watch, in my opinion.

Its just looks like business as usual for Team RV .

Villopoto has won the last three races .

Stewart has not won in the last five races .

Is that the longest stewart has gone without winning a race, 5 in a row?

RV is not as exciting to watch as Bubba, but it doesn't matter, he's winning.

hard to be stoked about not winning in the last 5 races, js has to be pumped to get into second and continue to lose time to ryan.

RV looked just as happy as ever

I don't think James was bummed about his last half of the race. His mistakes came early on in the race when he was in 4th. James lost this race in the first 7 or 8 laps with those big mistakes and near crashes.

Stewart got into 2nd place on the 11th lap. He had faster times than RV for 6 out of the last 11 laps of the race, which included laps 11, 12, and a nice streak of gaining time on laps 14-18. Edit: Whoops! RV had a faster time on lap 16!

Pretty good effort late in the race by Stewart on a super technical but short track. He knows that he blew a chance to win despite the poor start, had to be disappointing.

I was at the race and the lappers were really tough to get around for both James and RV, they were taking chances jumping the super rutted rhythm section in traffic, there were some very tense moments for both riders.

I haven't seen the podium presentation yet, but, given Stewart's recognition of the disaster in Japan during the opening ceremonies, perhaps the sombre mood on the podium was a further reflection of this tragedy.

I'd be pissed if I wore that butt patch and didn't win too.

JS7 is in the battle of his life.....if he can't pull out of this tail-spin,...he won't be back next year.

Maybe it has something to do with the greatest natural disaster in recorded history occurring the day before.

I think they were all mentally drained from that track, 20 minutes of hyper concentration

riding a supercross track is hard enough let alone all those ruts..... you can have that

oh and i love poto's style just smashing berms everywhere... my brother hasn't watched an ama supercross for a couple of years and I showed him Atlanta, cause well I think we all know why, but first thing he said was how cool villopoto's style was

Japans natural disaster was terrible....but very , very far from the worst ever! Not making light of the actual Tsunami or earthquake....but Southeast Asia lost 225,000 people a few years back to the same thing. Japan has lost close to 2500. Either way.....even if 1 life is lost , it's a tragedy as far as i'm concerned.
