In case anyone forgets, he had Emig and everyone else covered outdoors in 96 too until his mishap with his foot let Emig sneak in and grab the title. He was also killing it outdoors in 98 with a broken wrist that occurred at the Pontiac SX until pulling out of the series. That could have been 3 outdoor titles right there, so yea, his outdoor riding was not too shabby either.
To bad the 1996 MX season ended at MC's favorite track coming off of a 1-1 win with plenty of confidence knowing that Steel City was a winner take all. And lost, the 1996 MX title was no sneak attack. His problem was Emig with confidence. Emig was always streaky in his outdoor wins and at the end of 96 Emig was on a streak. That MC let start with his mistake at Millville practice.

WTF?

MC has been retired now for what, like 10-12 years. Has done a ton of riding at a pretty high level, is racing trucks and frequently posts on his Twitter/Instagram MTB trips he goes on.

Unless my sarcasm meter is broken, you are way off base here.

It was definitely lost on you lol. Basically he was saying that MC loves to ride and will probably still be riding when he is 60 years old, fat, gray haired, etc.

MC was the king of SX for sure. But RV is the better overall rider if you consider SX and MX. RV is number two only behind RC overall. And if RV is able to defend his SX title and win again next year he will have 5 championships in a row, something no one has ever done, and he could pass James 51 wins too. Of course that's just a what if, but it is possible if he rides again next year.
