Exactly. If Jett was on a Star bike he would have won by 20sec

It’s a good start, we have seen JB51 do this before.
Bam went 5, 7, 3, 7, 11 at all of his outdoor openers on Blu Cru

Same engine builder for Geico and HRC. HRC transferred over some of the Geico crew to help with the 250 team.

And to clarify, none of that was with Star. There's an undeniable improvement this year in the YZ performance, and Star is getting more out of the bikes than Factory Yamaha was. Who knows what Bam would have done if he was riding for Star.

Might have won. Hope AP made the right decision. Those KTMs (The orange ones) look really bad.

Well Yamaha was the first to field production bikes back in 1985, was this because they couldn't improve upon them?

ACTUALLY 1978 Bob, raced a stocker, won the SX and gave it away as a prize.

True Bob Raced a Stocker, but Yamaha still had works bikes in 78. Just like RJ raced a stocker in 82. But 84 is when Yamaha went exclusively to production based bikes.

Honestly, the bikes look great. They settle in the corners, they look like they handle well and are nimble. We all know they have power. I’d say Star has done an amazing job. If what Dylan says is true about the weight(zero reason to doubt him) that’s a significant drop in LB’s. I think we’re going to see a sea of blue up front this year.

Bob rode a stocker in '77 when he first switched from 125's to 250's. '78 was a works bike. https://www.mxworksbike.com/index.php/1978-yamaha-ow38

I think Ferrandis wins this thing if he doesn’t get injured. He’s a workhorse on the bike. Not afraid to hang it out and never settles.

Really happy to see star pulling out all the stops. I remember Webb saying that factory Yamaha wouldn’t let him test even a stock bike. That’s bad.

Would be cool, but it’s the first round. Listening to Kenny and watching his improvements first to second moto says a lot. It looks to be a great summer of racing.
