I haven't visited Vital very much in the last month since there hasn't been anything to talk about, but I just checked up on whatever news there might be about the plan for SX returning May 15th, and it looks like it's pushed off another two weeks at least.
It's a shame we couldn't get things back going and I feel like we're dropping the ball on this one to get seen by a bigger and eager audience looking for any sports during this time. Whereas the UFC is going to be one of the first back tonight and you know the viewership for that will be massive.
Not looking for any answers here, just sort of a tame rant about the subject. Carry on. And btw, no pun intended on the title of this thread.

The Shop
11 fights, 22 fighters, I think coaches are limited to 1-2... the TV crew, medical staff, etc... there's probably only 200-250 people in the building.
SX would be 80 riders minimum, mechanics for each rider = 160, TV crew, medical staff, track crew, etc... probably 2-3x more in attendance.
SX missed out though. All the pre lim fights or whatever you call them were on at prime time for free, leading you into PPV for the main events
Hopefully SX can get going in the next few weeks, need something to watch.
Edit: Also, the fact that they're including "probable cases" really makes that data potentially faulty.
Pit Row
Enjoyed every minute.
The MMA forum on Reddit usually posts the 30 seconds or so of the finish of each fight right after it happens, which is how I catch up with everything if I don't have a link to a stream.
But yes, infected to tested ratio is most important probably.
Since you are an engineer, you should be looking at all data and continually testing and revising prediction models to establish the most important one as we get more data, all the worries about a few cases of bad data here or there become less significant.
