I'd forgotten what a good race this was.

Me too! That's funny this came up on my YT feed yesterday. Dunge and Desalle both looked great on the Zooks with Fox gear

That was cool when he came over here, I just got back from Europe where I saw him and the rest of the GP guys at the Lommel GP a couple weeks earlier

His mechanic brought some parts over here to put on the bike.

We brought my Mother-in-Law to Unadilla that year for her first race. Desalle's ride left quite an impression on all of us & each season after she would always ask how the MX Panda was doing.

It's a shame more guys can't come over for one-off events like that.

Desalted didn’t even have his own forks on that bike. He flew his KB suspension over, only to find that Suzuki US didn’t have a front wheel to fit them, so he had to borrow a set of Showa forks from the team.

I was there that day too. I remember standing along the fence trying to figure how who the 3 digit dude on the Suzuki was Laughing

Well, I know of a talented Dutch racer who is coming to race the last two nationals.
He is no Clement DeSalle (yet) but I think a lot of people will know his name after this weekend…

Man, I wish Desalle would have stayed healthy in 2015. Everything seemed to be coming together for him that year, and for Nagl, too. Who would have thought going in, with RV, Cairoli, Desalle, Nagl, Paulin, it would be rookie Febvre winning the title?

Still surprising to me that guys like Desalle and Paulin don't get picked up by the US divisions of OEMS for the outdoors (as replacement riders for guys who get injured during sx).

Both still won in MXGP in 2020 and finished 5th and 7th overall.

Two pictures of the MX Panda having fun, on a CR500, a fair few years ago : :

I think it was at a charity race in 2009 - not ,perhaps Everts one, but one in Latvia? Kongols may know.

Pretty sure that’s on the charity race: Everts and friends in Genk.
