Anyone else noticed the excellent use of the Spidercam at the Atlanta round ?
During the 250 main they followed the riders for multiple complete laps without switching camera shots. Sure we had some nice views of starts with it so far in the season but this week it really caught my attention to how it can be used nicely to give us a good view on the racing. Maybye the stadium was a better venue to set the camera up better then at the previous rounds not sure... Anyway i enjoyed it hopefully we get to see it in use more often like this.

To the people who haven't seen the race yet here is the 250 main from Atlanta, one of the best 250 mains this season for sure. (Will be taken down really soon i guess since its not an official upload)

After watching the spidercam in action at the san diego round I wanted to learn more about how this thing worked. Extremely impressive to see it move around and over the field at the speeds it does. It floats and flies like a RC drone but it's on wires and winches. Looks like it was developed for FIA World Cup Soccer originally.
