So following me here, while no rider will ever be the People's Champion like K-DUB, has AP's personality and breakout 450 season positioned him to be the new People's Champion?

Malcolm Stewart is in that conversation as well IMO. Both Plessinger and Stewart fill that gap, but I want to see Plessinger wheel off some moto wins this summer!

Hope so, I think Windham was a notch above skill wise. IMO Windham had all the tools to rival RC but was unwilling to take the same approach to achieve that success. and good for him for not.

Yeah I always thought it was awesome how Windham rode you could see his natural talent shining through for sure.

I think you bring up a really good point. I have some favorites but I'm not a superfan of any one rider. So I usually have sort of a little different feeling of emotion whenever I see someone win or even do well. Some I expect to win, others I might feel like they got lucky, but any time I see AP do good all that comes to mind is "hell yeah man" and I can't help but grin. He's a great personality for our sport.

If You want to see personality got to about 55 minutes and watch till the end. RJ and Hannah fighting over the trophy girl is pretty funny and wouldn’t happen today.

Windham is so cool.

He's a real guy and he showed it. People can relate to him. I think AC is an open book perhaps similar to kdub.
