After all the problems last year, as we know, BMW chose to use more technology from Husqvarna. The collaboration has now resulted in a brand new BMW Husqvarna 450th Seven times world champion Juha Salminen tested the bike trail that purpose in Lommel Belgium. BMW bought Husqvarna for nearly three years ago (July 2007). The Bavarian machinery has recognized the need to use a range of solutions for the Italians to make bikes with greater reliability.
The cooperation between the product has meant that instead of building a common model: BMW Husqvarna 450th The chassis is equal to the Husqvarna and the engine is from BMW. For one and a half weeks of creation rolled out in daylight. The big star in the German Enduro team, 33-year-old Finn Juha Salminen, tested the machine in Lommel, Belgium. It was the first time that the bike was shown publicly.
Salminen told that the test drive in heavy Lommel sand was his second turn on the bike and that it almost was on the final version. The current World Cup third-place in the E2 class also found that perception was largely positive: the modified powder package fit nicely in the sand, the machine felt easy and smooth and seemed well balanced with regard to weight distribution.
- The new bakstötdämparen also gives the bike a more solid feel. In particular, in more critical situations, said Juha, saying that although the party was clearly sharper than before. This model feels lighter in the front and swing better.
But the big test of the BMW Husqvarna 450 awaits next weekend. Then run the season's fourth race in the Spanish Open championship in enduro A Peroxia. The contest will be the first Juhas BMW and Husqvarna exciting crossroads.
