Just listening to DMXS radio and he admitted he wanted Ryan on a 450 during the break. That would be pretty cool!

Ouch! Roger just said he is not really happy with DV's results.. I agree and i am glad he said it and not me! Dv is a cool guy but i kinda wonder if he is really up to the task of a top factory guy. Still lots of time left though so here's hoping " title="Smile">

It would be a good way for him to regain his confidence. No downside to RD getting some time on the 450.

On a 450, racing on the east coast, or practicing on a 450 during the break? Big difference.

Pretty risky when you have one last race and you are in the title hunt. Will get some good seat time though. Wonder if its really worth the risk.

Calling an idea or decision of the man stupid is, well you figure it out 8) I am quite certain that Roger has weighed all the options and possibilities. Keep in mind he is the most respected man in the sport and does very few things regarding racing that are stupid..

If RD rides and wins you guys will say it was brilliant!

What if he gets smoked and can't even crack the top ten? That will do wonders for his confidence. Worst case is that he gets hurt. He's been crashing his brains out the last 3 races on the 250. Has he ever even ridden a 450 before?

This is the stupidest f**king idea ever. [img:1plk0niv]http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y255/fasterhalo/icon_lol.gif[/img:1plk…]

Yes he has lots of time on a 450 here in MN.and is damn fast or faster than on a 250. I would love to see it happen no matter what. Heck he could get hurt just practicing so what? It would add some exitement to the series and also Ryan would love the idea and that in itself is a positive thing. But to call Roger D stupid? Come on...

He has only raced one season outdoors so that seems a bit rushed.

450 for Dungey is a good thing. All things positive for him.
He can take it slow, no pressure. Continued track time. Heavier equipment.
He'll need 2 weeks back on the 250 before Seattle. It'll feel light and flickable.

I love it! Reminds me of the old days. I think he will do well and learn alot from it.

Here's the kicker

if he earns enough points to be top 20 he's out of the West Coast Championship. last I checked it was 42 points maybe 2 ,3 races tops for Dungy to hit that.

isn't the rule now that if you ride 450SX once, you can't go back down? so will dungey move up next year or what?

Goose said he rides the big bike really well, i think it wil be great for him. Get out there and race, instead of sitting and letting what has happened the last 3 races twist his head into knots for 2 months.

Looking forward to it. He's flawless in his lite heats yet tosses it away multiple times in last couple mains.
RD wouldn't have him riding the 450 unless to build his confidence. Been a tough couple weeks for him and he needs a boost.
Totally agree with ocscottie.

They relaxed that rule and invited lite riders because the gates have been light in the big class

This is just my opinion:
1) DV12 hates the bike.
2) Doesn't trust the computer dorks who can't seem to fix the flame outs and boging.
3) he is hurt.

DeCoster better be careful, remember what happened to the last team manager who wasn't happy with DV's results?

Seriously, I remember when DV was signed, DeCoster did an interview and said they didn't expect him to be a top 5 rider, so sounds like he's meeting their expectations!

Time to move him up, he can't take another 09 ass kicking season by J-law.

Sounds like they have conceded the West lights to JLaw. With only 1 race remaining in the series it would take a miracle for JLaw to lose it & Dungy would have to be perfect. I think Roger knows what he is doing & it may be just what Dungy needs.

Hi Bam-i agree that he is not 100% all the time for sure and he is helping to develop the bike which i imagine has some issues. Does or did MA have these mechanical issues you speak of? Still i think that overall Roger can see if DV is pushing or not and how is attitude is etc. I agree with RD that DV could be doing better and i also agree with you and DV that he has been hurt which can scew his results.

Oh and to the kid that says Dungey is getting his ass kicked..
