Normally, I'd say it was a weak get together, but in this case it was the top two riders in the US, and possibly the world, so I'm gonna take the high road on this one.

I must say it was sureal to see it live. I couldn't fugen believe what I was seeing with my own two eyes!

Thought it was a golden opportunity for Reed to gain some much needed points--but alas that did not happen.

By the looks of the 4th picture, JS was very lucky not to get his right hand in Chad's rear wheel spokes. It seems like he was bracing for impact. Lucky!

I'm still trying to figure out if the fracture happened on the impact, or when they went down.

I was told there was some damage to Reed's arm as well...maybe that happened on the first contact, and the fracture was when they went down?

Of topic, but those look like sand tires? I know there was a sand section, but, weird.

I'm thinking Reed got the end of the handlebars to his hand. Probably why he could ride have a lap, it was still stinging and numb.

That's not even a block pass. There is plenty of room to the left...

I'm thinkin that Stewy landed on top of Chad's hand, and it was in the absolute wrong position to be landed on by a 160LB guy. Those little metatarsals in a hand are easy to snap.

Putting your hands out to save yourself can end up real ugly - unfortunately, it's human nature.

No kidding! One of my friend had a slow speed fender bender. His wife tried to brace herself on the dash and ended up with 2 badly broken wrists (courtesy of the air bag)

I'm inclined to believe it was all from the bike landing down on it, because the initial impact seemed minor at best...

A handlebar and/or bike pinning your hand and arm to the ground however could break something pretty easily...

I am thinking Chad is taking the easy way out of having to deal with the two Ryans and one Hill to climb.
