Long straightaways, few left and right turns, 3 huge table tops,
Awesome.....
this is the worst so called Motocross track.
The old backyard pit bike track in Thousand Oaks is better then this
crap box.
Basically it’s whoever goes the fastest in the sand wins,
No mountains, up hills down hills, real jumps, real dirt
it’s a new form of racing, don’t want to call it Sandcross, that would
be a embarrassment to Supercross, can’t call it Sandy Motocross,
that would be a embarrassment to Motocross...,
How about “Shitbox”

Go to bed. We have a race to watch in a little under 9 hours.

I don't care for it for the MXdN. Feels like I'm watching a 70's Supercross, not real motocross. I'll live though...

Got home from work and watched the highlight reel from qualifying. My initial thoughts were this track had it all- picturesque, grandeur, elevation, technical, history, you know, a course worthy of the greatest Moto-X event for 72 years running...
With that said.
As last year, " the track is the same for everybody ".

This. Is. Moto. Not every track has to be Maggoria or Matterley Basin. One lap around this track and I'm certain the OP would be beyond humbled

This may actually be a VERY important thread. We all love to jump, and we all love Supercross. But I think the sport was much more user friendly in the 70's. Not everyone is willing to risk a broken femur and missing work for 8 months and the medical bills for themselves or their children(although apparently I am). Maybe the sport was better off with the tracks(and bikes) of the 70s.
Of course we can't go back, or can we? I think for next year's sx and mx there should be no less than 2 throwback tracks. Just to mix it up.

I feel like I heard them say during the qualifiers that they had a road race there earlier this week, and they only had a couple of days to build the track. My ears could have been playing tricks on me though.

Lets do the next US MXoN at Daytona, we'll put our "rollers" in like normal, just a little taller and closer together.

It's a good thing I love to watch any MX available. It was watchable, but if I was in charge of selecting the track and camera crew I'd be embarrassed. Also for all the "prestige" this event has, there were an aweful lot of empty seats in the stands lining this parking lo... I mean track...

Garbage. Just another reason the glitz and glamour of SX reign supreme.

Not sure why you were downvoted, pretty sure you're right. I remember seeing those comics in Dirt Bike Rider magazine, that's Billy Mac in OP's pic.

To be fair , they can't control the rain. Same could be said for Redbud last year. Both tracks were a mess and not even close to how good they can be when the weather is good Assen actually produces great racing when it's not flooded out. Look at it this way.......every rider out there could do better. Coldenhoff didn't get lucky 4 moto's in a row , this year and last year , and he ran a smarter race then anyone else. Crappy track or not , lucky or not , there is room for improvement for every rider out there minus what #6 did again today. And big congrats to the Netherland's team......they completely killed it this weekend!
