Tomac was 1 stuck front brake away from winning last year.

Roczen will be a surprise to me if he even finishes top 5 in any race next year but I do like surprises!

I think it will go down to Eli and Marvin. I think Marvin will be mentally strong, but I'm just not 100% sold that Eli has shed the mental tick that costs him a bit for a race or two. As for Kenny, something about him since his accident has my gut telling me that the kid wants to race and win, and his recovery is going better than expected due to this drive. I think he'll be at A1, maybe not 100% fit, but close. He'll manage the points between the two front runners for the first 1/3 of the season, and keep the title in sight when the front two have a race mishap or two. Then the second half of the season, he'll build and start winning races. How this pans out at season's end is anybody's guess, but I'm going to bookmark this post because, well, I'm a genius and I think I'm right.Laughing
As for the rest of the class, I honestly don't see anyone else challenging to be in the points past the first 6 races. Hope I'm wrong there as I'd love to see a surprise Cinderella story here from someone.

Hum I think Marv vs Eli, i dont know that's close.

Roczen never, his arm will not support the intensity, the big series of whoops and a future crash on it. I see him come back and leave fairly quickly and announce the end of his career.

Tomac's to lose.

Musquin will be up there fighting for the championship waiting for a silly Eli mistake/mechanical. Ensure about Roczen, perhaps cruise the first few rounds and rustle some feathers later on in the season with some wins.

It's a movie line from Animal House.

As for '18.

Tomac. I think a confident Eli will be hard to bet against.

Marvin will be tough.

Kenny will be tough too, but he was healthy starting last year and didn't win and he has not shown great consistency at SX as demonstrated by his get-offs. Add to that an injury and a year off of racing and it's not helping his cause.

As for the rest, there be a winner here or there, but the three above will take the lion's share of events.

If Roczen is a go he will win the title. It will probably take several rounds for him to get his groove but if he dials back until then, Eli will eventually crumble as his point lead dwindles once Roczen s strings together several wins in a row.
