I drove home from the races many times since I was 13 or so because the guy's had a few to many.

Granted those were different times and for sure not on one of the insane California road ways.

Sorry, but there can be no circumstance that allows a 51 yr old to put an 11 yr old behind the wheel on a busy interstate highway. Completely unacceptable in every way-this could have turned out really badly-think about it. what a fucking idiot.

I cannot fathom ANY circumstance that would forgive allowing an 11 y/o to drive down the 15 fwy.
Holy fuck.... at 11 y/o I wasn't even jerking off yet let alone driving one of the busiest freeways on earth with a world class engine builder tailing me.
Only in the 909.....

Was the kid sitting on the yellow pages with kilos of meth strapped to his feet in order to touch the peddles?

Oh man I'm with you I had the parents car cruising south OC when I was 12 I was not afraid back tben but man there was no traffic like it is now !! I lucked out my parents never found out ssshhhhhhh ha

So when that 11 year old kid behind the wheel of a 5,000 pound chunk of steel moving 65 miles an hour slams into your family and rolls them off the highway in flames I trust you guys will be there with that homespun..."kids will be kids" line right?

My Dad let me drive when we were young but we lived in the sticks... His Dad did the same...

Highways tho, aint a place for a kid to be driving...

I was always allowed to take the car to the store from around 13 up.
If I ever got pulled over I was to say I stole it and my parents have no clue.

Well, that's understandable, he needed a stunt driver so he could repo his POS Toyota from a guy that wasn't paying. Sheesh, why make a big deal out of it? He even let the kid follow him home...it's not like he just left him to fend for himself. Well, maybe after the kid got pulled over, but they were almost home and maybe he had to take a piss or something? Hey, we've all had to pee before, right?

Last time I seen Terry was in line at sign-up for A1 back in the early 2000's.

I'm glad no one got hurt.

Anyway Terry has always been a good dude and he is a very nice guy.
But sometimes good people do odd things and then get into trouble.

My bad, I thought my opinion was part of the conversation as well and my opinion is that anyone who would let an 11 yr old drive on the freeway is an idiot....now by all means get back on your soapbox and tell me I am wrong because someone in the moto industry did it.....that seems to make everything acceptable for some folks.

i drove all the time when I was 13 and 14, but out in the country, not a busy interstate. Got a speeding ticket before I even had a license.
I used to ride my brother's Kawasaki KZ1000 when I was 12. That will really teach you some balance.
