I’m on my second new pair and both left boots have done this now without a lot of time on the boots, my left foot is messed up from shattering it years ago so not sure if my odd stance is causing it, but never had issue any other boots, it’s like a little tear in the sole that bubbles up.

Just curious if anyone else had this issue love these damn boots but don’t wanna keep dealing with this after 15 hours of use on them.

Without being disrespectful, don’t you think your weight plus hard riding and weird stance might add to the wear on your boots?

Seems like weight would be a big factor, and you’re not slow.

My soles were completely worn through in 10 hours on the new version. I’ve always been pretty hard on soles, but there’s no excuse for 10 hours on stock pegs.

There was another thread on this just a week or two ago, but quite a few people mentioned having some soles wear quick. I'm at 20 hours (hr meter time) on my 21 Tech 10s but a slow rider with 170lb weight. Mine still look brand new minus the chunk taken out from the outside edge from kick starting. I would not at all be surprised given your injury that your leg/body position is compensating for that injury and causing that particular spot to wear faster than normal though given your description above. Anytime I've had a leg injury or ankle, I definitely feel myself pressure the opposite foot or weight the injured foot differently to compensate for the instability/muscle injury. I don't think that is a coincidence in your case. This of course in addition to maybe the soles being softer than past or however they developed these ones (just theory crafting here).

Get sidi atojo boots. Replace the soles for $30 with a screwdriver. I switched from tech 10s because the soles wore in less than half a season.

This was after three months of riding. Alpinestars replaced it for $30. Granted I’m running super sharp foot peg cleats (Fastway f7’s) and just switched over to some less aggressive ones. But it’s safe to say the current tech 10 soles suck. The rest of the boot is great once it’s broken in.

I would agree for sure but never had this problem with any other boots, hell I rocked Acerbis xrock boots last year and they held up great just didn’t have the support these do.

But from the other responses here sounds like the new tech ten sole is just soft.

I also can get tech tens for a Great price, lot cheaper then I can get sg12 for, so hard to justify getting anything else I get new boots aboit every 9-12 months regardless cause of my foot, but these are only lasting 2 before sole does this.

My Tech 7 soles did the same thing really quick. I switched to the SG12 and they seem to be holding up way better so far.

You may need something with a welt sole. They are thicker and will probably resist what your injured foot is doing better than a glued on thin sole.

Agreed. Did you end up switching to something else or just have the sole repaired?
