Team Australia heading to red bud with a squad of Lawrence (mx2) Gibbs (mxgp) and Mitch Evans (open).

Most of you may not know who Evans is but he was a fill in at Maggoira when Beaton injured himself shortly before event and this year he was the next best rider after Ferris in the MX1 aussie champs.

Gibbs mentioned that he has been working extremely hard off the bike for this sort of thing if he gets picked and Evans’ progression is amazing to watch. Will be good to watch where he goes!

He wanted to fulfil contract obligations and focus on SX. I know it’s weird because he’s going stateside for MX only but wants to focus on Aus SX over des nations

Wonder why Waters wasn't given a look in. You would think factory Honda would be there anyways.

I'm guessing the Byrne/KTM connection was a big factor in taking the two Aussie based KTM riders. Like was mentioned above, hopefully a couple of Rocky Mountain/factory bikes are pitted under the aussie awning for the weekend.

Not sure on the latest results but I think Waters has been way down the finishing order since coming back from injury

Yes bike availability also plays a big role in it as without a true factory or factory support bike, your only racing for a place in the non qualifiers

Gibbs was massively impressive at Matterley last year and Lawrence will be fired up to prove a point with him going to the states next year. I don't know much about Evans but it sounds like a good team

It's a great team, but I'm pretty pissed on the SX promoters in Australia. C'mon making riders choose between MXON selection or SX Money Angry

Best team we could have sent if no rider has injuries will be Lawrence Beaton Ferris. Hopefully that'll become a reality and have high hopes for a podium

Luongo can always put out some that cash maybe make the choices easier.

I know getting paid beats not getting paid.

Probably should send Jet Lawrence, Lawrence and Evans, Based performances right now,
Lawrence can ride a 450 OK already experienced in ADAC.

Yup, Geico is supporting him at Red Bud. It'll be his first race for the team, technically speaking...

That's good to know, there's something going on with that 114 team. It's been a horrible year for them and both riders have really struggled
