My sone just turned 5 so getting him a TC50 and I’ve had my rm250 going on 6 years so it’s time to change and Suzuki has no new 250 2T so I thought I’d change but now I can get a good deal on a fc 350 2020 for only 1k more than a 2019 TC350.
So from guy who have them or ridden both what’s you thoughts on these bikes. I’m 2T though and through but at 45 tired of working them to keep up the speed.what are the costs like maintains the 350 a 450 is way to much for me I’m stuffed as it is after 10 minutes and I’m worried a 250f will need more servicing.
Any advice from guys that own them would be awesome.

350s feel very light, turn incredibly well and like I said, you won’t believe the traction and stability you get. The thing is just hooked up and pulling all the time and turns so well. Another thing that you will get used to in a hurry is the fuel injection and the estart on the 350. I never thought it would be a big deal but just walking over to the bike and stabbing the button and you’re ready to go is something you don’t want to live without once you have it. If you’re a regular vet or amateur rider I don’t see how you wouldn’t get close to 75-100 hrs without doing much maintenance at all besides air filters, oil and fuel. I would say go for it, if you don’t like it they have great resale.
so i'd advise you to try and get a test ride if possible. I found the engine braking gave me arm pump. even on the newer 4t where they have alot of it tuned out. just my 2 "pence"

That said, a FC350 will be my next new bike purchase. It's the most 2-strokeish 4 stroke I've ridden. Engine braking is still present, but acceptable IMO.
I have a dialed in 2017 TC250 and it's the best MX bike I've ever ridden. Running it in the 'mild' map (preferred map of most magazine testers) smooths the hit out and the bike has plenty of tractional power.
I find 4-strokes tire me out quicker as they weigh more. I'm 40. Last time I rode my TC250 I did a 40 minute moto on the main track at Cahuilla...

At the very, very least, ride one of those ill-handling, heavy, hot, finicky, skill-sapping, track-destroying, stall-prone pieces of 4-stroke shit before you buy one. Who knows, maybe you'll love it. As for me, I can barely even ride one. I still think the entire 4-stroke revolution is some gigantic conspiracy to pull the wool over my eyes: nobody actually likes them or thinks they are better, but they're all buying them and going along with the joke until I give in, and then they'll say "gotcha!!!"
Like others have said, you can't go wrong with either bike.

If you don't do any mods and leave her stock it helps, but it will still drink WAY more fuel than a 4 stroke.. Might not be a big deal to some but I rode so much then it killed me $$.
I've got some quality time on a 350 too- Both are awesome, awesome bikes.

and it doesn’t feel like it weighs much more than a 250F.
The pure fun of the TC trumps the tiny bit more speed and stamina I have on the 450 on most days
You can ride the 350 in one or two gears and pull yourself around most tracks (atleast where I am), but the 250 needs to be shifted a bit more.
IMO, if you're riding any woods, tight areas, the TC wins hands down. If its all moto... flip a coin.
