Be careful when meeting people on craigslist or in general. The more people you can have with you the better, if you feel at all uncomfortable about meeting a certain person or people who have called on your bike then don't meet them. So sad this guy lost his life over something like a dirt bike.

The first place you should meet someone to look at your bike should be the police department parking lot . You can tell a lot by a person after you tell them to meet you there.

Sad, senseless, inhuman, and stupid. I feel awful for the son and his family having to live the rest of their life without their father over a stupid dirt bike!

As for the criminals, give them both a fair and speedy trial, and send them straight to the death penalty.

When we as a country begin to punish people who commit crimes like this with equal or greater punishment, we will begin to see criminals think twice about their actions. Commit a murder? Death penalty. Rape someone? Castration, life no parole. Etc, etc. Grand theft? Try one to two decades in prison. Make the punishment for these crimes so outrageous, so incredible that the thought of committing these crimes is unthinkable.

Dude that is really funny I had some guy from Atlanta text me about my bike. The question and the way he acted was really strange. Over friendly and asked a lot of odd ball questions. Said he would give me right at asking price and a extra $200 if I would make the drive down there to him. Haha yea I'm not falling for that.

Happens all the time with dirt bikes, cars, street bikes and even guns. Even posting up old appliances or furniture on the internet for sale and letting people come to your house to look at or buy is a stupid move these days. I end up donating so much stuff to animal shelter garage sales just to avoid the possibility of dealing with a douchebag...or worse. Anytime I sell something locally, they can come to my business during business hours.

May the murderers die a slow and fiery death.

That's terrible. Last bike I sold I agreed to meet the buyer at a fairly busy local track. Was a normal guy, but you never know anymore. Infront of his kid and everything. Hope they get what's coming to them!
