Searched and could not find a definite answer...
Are Talon Carbon hubs a solid spool of carbon in the center part, or just milled down aluminum core with a carbon (wrap) atop of the core?
Also, are they regarded as the lightest hub available?
Finally, are stock spokes able to be fitted to these hubs.
I am sure you can read between the lines here- trying to figure how to configure a trick, but lightweight, wheel set. I know oversize spokes add weight, ect.
Thanks,

Not sure about the weight difference, but mine have held up good. I bought them used. I normally buy all my wheels from Faster USA. I think they have some of the best hubs available
I went with the Dubya superlight wheels that I’m very happy with. But if I came across a good deal on Talon Carbons, I’d get them.
The Shop
THANKS MUCH!
Complete with bearings, seals.
Check out Blackdimond thread on his build, 2003 CR250. Lightest wheel set built.
TCR can lighten your stock hubs. SM pro rims seem to be lightest. Stock spokes.
Front hub complete, laced to A60 and you need Dubya spoke kit
Here is stock rear Honda Hub weight. The same weight. You would think the talons with the carbon would be much lighter. They will make your pocket lighter.
Langham- Thanks for cutting your hub in half!
Fhil- Thanks for unlacing your wheel for your contribution of weights.
As Dean mentioned, beers are in the mail for your troubles!
Thanks!

Does anyone know if his shop Mad Racing out in CA is closed?
Thanks!
