I will go against the grain, I like the Huskies....and also I agree with most of the posters in the thread, it was extremely clever of KTM to do what they did. I bet other manufacturers wish they did the same thing.

Agree 100%. My 17' tc 250 is by far the best bike I've ever owned.

Sadly the Husqvarna's they were replacing, didn't exactly have a high bar to beat.

For instance, had you taken this 2013 Husky - changed the color and the name to KTM for instance, I don't think you would see a smashing success .

I don\t know if i can view 90`s Husqvarna as true Husqvarna more of a white Cagiva.

But I do really like the looks 92-94 , 09-013 and 16-18.

I’ve got a FE KTM and just picked up a RE FC 450 last Saturday and the Husky is an easier bike to go fast on. Part of it is in the mapping but the composite subframe just gives it a different feel then the KTM. I’ve rode all the brands and I don’t see myself buying anything else until the others catch up.

I for one really like the new Husqvarna offerings regardless of owner or lineage. And like others here I was skeptical of the RE450. In person though?....it was one sexy bitch!

I’d suggest you guys read Branding Iron before you call this a success story.

I'm working on a 2000 Husqvarna CR 125.
Bought it cheap (USD 250), will probably spend USD 750 in total (silencer, replace 3rd & 4th gear, decals, new seat cover, did the powdercoating and sandblasting the engine via a friend).

I raced a Husqvarna cr125 and a cr250 back in 2000. They were the biggest piles of shit I have ever ridden. Especially the 125. They have came a long way because of KTM.

Like the KTM stable, the company just keeps making Husks better EVERY year instead of BNG.
Not only is this a win for the KTM/Husky customer, it forces the other majors to improve. Yes
everyone cries about the price but in the past how many people bought a bike and straight away
spent another $1-2k on exhaust and suspension?
Even if you're not a KTM fan you should be thankful for them being around.

I'm partial to the '16-'18 design and feel like they took two steps back in terms of modern styling. I don't like the RE at all and am still reserving judgement until the '19 is officially released.
I have to agree. I do like how things slim up towards the shroud, but aside from that small space, the previous version showed a better design mindset.
