What ever happened to Tag Metals? Back in the early 2000s they seemed to be huge and I had their bars, plus other hard parts on multiple bikes. Now you can't even find a website or any parts on Motosport or Rocky Mountain. If I remember correctly only a few years ago they were still sponsoring the Rockstar Suzuki team. Seems like they fell off quite fast.

They were raven on James Stewart's 2009 championship bike. And Ryan dungeys sprockets on Suzuki?

They are part of the Group 6 USA (www.group6usa.com). Matrix, Atlas, Sixsixone, etc...

I thought Tag Metals was supposed to relaunch this year... don't know when though. I do know that they are working on something...

Group 6 USA (Atlas, Matrix, 1.7, Next, Royal, 7 IDP) has purchased Tag Metals.

They have redesigned and resourced the product line with many improvements and updates,
and have placed purchase orders already.

They are planning to relaunch the brand close to Anaheim 1, when they have stock on hand.

Eddie Cole sold Tag, 661, and Sunline to One Industries around eight years ago or so?...

Took One Industries FOREVER to get things swapped over, during that time their distributor back order list piled up...once they did get things moving, they cancelled all their distributor deals (not filling any of the backorders either) and tried to go dealer-direct.

At this point, they just never got their stuff together it seemed like. They had been out of circulation long enough and it was such a mess, it just never seemed to recover...at least, that's what I remember happening

Eddie snagged it back and is reviving it now.

Actually Eddie never owned One or Tag. He sold 661 and Sunline to Triple 7 group, and Ludo and Mark sold One and Tag to them at the same time. So Triple 7 owned One, Tag, 661, and Sunline.

Triple 7 made a mess of it all and sold it off to another equity group and Group 6 bought Tag back from them.

Well yes, that is the longer version of what happened after Triple 7 bought Tag. But Eddie didn't own the company when they got Tag back then. Triple 7 owned Valencia Sport Group at that time.

Triple 7 was just a private equity investment company that wanted to be in the extreme sport business.

I liked these old bars. Remember buying a bulk order of their sprokets to find out could not get thru a weekend without them breaking teeth off.

That is cool to hear! Mind sharing where to purchase? I would like to buy a few sets of the bars similar to what is posted above. Love the way graphic bars look!

Tag made the highest bend for my 85 so I ran those for a year. Really enjoyed them, cool to see them back at it!

Let’s hope their customer service is good...I was “sponsored” by them on Hookit. Last Monday I went on my profile and ordered a set of bars, got a order confirmation invoice and haven’t heard anything from them since. It’ll be almost 2 full weeks tomorrow and still no bars. Also noticed they completely pulled all of their companies off hookit along with tag so I guess I have no clue if I’m still a “sponsored” rider

I've got a sprocket with graphics just like this bar. Looks pretty cool, never seen another company that put graphics on sprockets...

I love Tag sprockets. I only have one new sprocket left in the stash I bought up, looking forward to being able to get more now.
