I had the pleasure of racing with some of the fastest MadDog riders and bikes in the nation. Jake Johnson (2-time AMA Pro Flat Tack Champion) was in our class, as well as lead instructor Joe Prussiano (3-time Pikes Peak Winner).

I ended up 3rd overall (which payed out to about $165, or $18.50 a lap). I try to post of these vids as often as possible because its the most fun you could possibly have on a pitbike. After racing you rent a bunk bed and drink some beers and tell lies...

I won my heat race after holding off Joe P. on his super fast TTR pushing about 18hp versus my ttr150 that has liek 12, maybe 13hp. https://youtu.be/dXQOYw7RQyo

During the main, I spun off the gate, and Joe got the jump, however out of nowhere Jake Johnson comes sliding in on the outside, and after a little grab ass outta turn 2 takes the inside from Joe. Jake took this win in this class as well as the MadDog 175cc Pro. Taking home a total of $1400 cash in his pocket. Other riders participating include Danny Eslick, Shea Fouchek, Mike Myers, Taylor Myers, Aaron Johnson, Johnny Johnson, and many more.

Fly Racing, Arai, Sidi, Go Pro, Pro Taper, Bridgestone, Race Fuelz, and of course Yamaha all put in alot of support to Colin and the Texas Tornado Boot Camp. I support these companies not only because of there involvement with the boot camp but also on our local level. Thanks to everyone! Enjoy!

You guys have no clue, every time a friend comes to watch, he signs up for the next event. If you're ever near 3 palms you gotta come check it out

Andrew finally got a Podium last race! The guy has the sickest bike and super smooth riding style, however has had TERRIBLE luck. I was super stoked he got on the podium. There is nothing like having that much fun on a dirtbike then leaving with some cash in your pocket.

Man that does look like a lot of fun! I had a TTR 125 for a couple years that I used at the track to teach / train kids back in the day. I had so much fun riding that thing it was crazy. The indoor track I ran had a couple big pit bike races there and I think on the 3rd year of doing it we had slightly over 140 riders. It became a huge event.

Actually a freind of mine named Joel won the pro class and beat all the factory BBR guys on their $25,000 aluminum framed Honda's. He posts here and maybe will chime in? I know he had a blast racing it.

On my TTR I ended up getting a whole bunch of 03' YZ85 parts such as forks , shock , front wheel , calipers and everything else I needed to do the conversion , because I really wanted to get into racing some of those events. Got hurt real bad on my 450 and it pretty much ended everything and I sold the TTR. But man that little sucker was a blast.

BTW , I still have all the YZ85 parts here. Kept them " just in case ". Smile

I have heard that the YZ parts are too rigid for the flat track stuff. The flex of the stock stuff is supposed to be the ticket.

Glad to hear some input, we had 180+ entries for this race and a huge turnout for spectators...It was a very professional event...except for my gear combo...

I'll be making a trip to 3Palms sometime this spring. I'll have to ping you before I make it that way to see if one of these races is going on.
