I forgot how awesome it really was to watch Travis on a SX track..

he should stick to freestyle. he didnt make the main even last year on the track he designed.
his racing days are over.

I was amazed at the X-games SX what was it a couple of years ago when he got put over a berm. Then he rode on the ragged f'n edge more than I've ever seen before to get a spot. That was crazy! Was that also the year he was going to wear an earpiece so CR could give him tips during the moto? I don't think that worked so well though.

I too wish Travis would come back to racing SX or even some outdoor rounds .....In a recent interview he did on TWMX (I Think) he said he didn't have the speed to run with those guys and that he would be luckyu to get 7th. .....He also said he never learned how to whip or scrub.....well judging from that video it looked like he was scrubbing pretty dam well or was that a turndown whip? Either way I think he still has it in him to make a decent impact in SX and unfortunately for the blown radiator he definitely has what it takes to be a top 10 rider again ....hell Bradshaw all but proved it the year he raced the US open his times were on par with top 10 riders in the race he rode against Chicken

Me and the missus saw his Nitro Circus show last weekend, my god it was intense, those kids can do absolutely anything! A class act, for sure.

Yeah I was there also tobz. The kid in the wheelchair amazed me the most. I posted a youtube vid of him in the non moto section. Was a great show.......... YOU RIDE IT, YOU JUMP IT (even an esky).

How cool would it be if modern medicine built Travis some bionic knees and he decided to dedicate his life to MX again. as a fan one can only dream.

I grew up racing the same time as Travis, and there's one thing that held true through his entire career from 50s to the premier class. The injuries and every other problems are all by-products of this one fatal flaw. The guy simply crashes his brains out ALL the time.. He gave up several amateur and even pro titles to wild high-speed getoffs the likes of which you rarely see. That's the problem he'd have to correct before racing again, not the knees, the bad shoulders, or the scrambled brain from so many concussions.

Yeah it happened but TP said he couldn't hear it.


Also don't forget about Travis separating his spinal cord when he was younger. Isn't he like one of only 5 people ever documented surviving that injury?
