Maybe I missed this, but I see TLD KTM is no longer running FMF.

This is from 6 days ago. Maybe it’s just not official yet? I always found it weird that they are technically the factory 259 team for KTM and ran a different exhaust than the factory 450 team. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Sounds like a KTM decision rather than a TLD/FMF decision? Bummer, FMF is a good company.

I find it crazy TLD gets a factory team.

TLD must make much more money than I thought they did. I don’t see THAT many people in their gear.

I noticed this a couple of days ago and started digging around on IG. I saw both exhausts on posts and left confused.

It seems Akrapovic is starting to get some traction in the USA with the Red Bull KTM team running them, MCR runs them, and potentially the TLD team running them. I think they’re the most visually appealing exhaust made today, and just as appealing to the ears with how stealthy quiet they are.

Akrapovic is the official aftermarket pipe for KTM.. in the UK you have to buy them through a KTM dealer.

FMF is also in the KTM Powerparts catalog though... at least for now.

Someone should tell Yamaha to get their 450's some FMF's to match Star. In fact, can we just make Star the Factory 450 Yamaha effort?

KTM to all Akrapovic and Husky using FMF. Both Power parts for KTM/Husky but what will be used with GasGas... cant see HGS making in big league.

I think it's worthy of a mention anyway.

But for the sake of every 250 and 450 factory team having matching exhausts! Think of the peoples OCD!

Husky- FMF
KTM- Akrapovic
Honda- Yosh
Suzuki- Yosh
Kawasaki- PC
Yamaha- 250 FMF- 450 PC

Alpinestar is everywhere has profits in the several hundred million dollar a year range. Guess everyone around here has a hard on for TLD or is way more popular that I see here in Michigan, and yes, I wear TLD.

Akropavic does need to work in n their promoting skills. I personally think this is quite a big switch since TLD had been with FMF for almost a decade right? Also MCR replaced Yosh with Akrapovic, which is a big one too since they run factory Honda’s which have full Yosh systems.

They’re making a push in the US now, that’s for sure.

If Akrapovic wanted to make a push they should start by making parts more available. I've got a new FE and cant find just the head pipe to complete the system anywhere.

6 years. Before that, they ran PC. Pretty sure they switched to FMF while they were still on Honda. They've been the official Factory KTM 250 team for even less time than that.
