TLD Gear

I'm looking at maybe getting some new gear soon. How is the TLD stuff? I currently wear the fly kinetic mesh stuff right now.

I like the looks mostly but haven't made great experience with the pants. They wore out way too quickly for me, even the most expensive lines. Using ortema knee braces

The SE line is the best, most durable gear I've owned. The GP line is thinner and on par with everyone else's mid line gear.

I would agree with this and add that the SE is pretty heavy. Then again, it lasts well.

Raced a 3 hour desert race and the gloves totally killed my hands. Not even blisters, I literally bled through the gloves. I've never had that issue with any other gloves

I had two sets several years ago of both the SE and Grand Prix lines and both tore by the third ride. I was not impressed. I likely just had bad luck, but it still left a bad taste in my mouth. I am now wearing Thor and it’s been great.

If you want light, go with the Air versions..... think there's both GP Air and SE Air as of late.

For me it’s great gear and no issues. Use only GP Air here in SoCal so on cooler days I wear shirt under until it warms up. If you have 3 or 4 sets cuts down on wear. Just my opinion only

So the new GP Air set is what I was looking at. Seems like there is mixed reviews with their gear quality from what I am seeing on here.

I own a few sets. Had no problems and all has lasted, other than the gloves over time can develop holes by the thumb area. Order and try it on first? If you don't think it fits well send it back. Durability hasn't been a problem.

Ya me too. Mostly gp air and no issues. I wear knee braces and no issues at all. Graphics have worn thru, but not the leather in my gear.

I have a set of the SE gear and the GP gear. The GP gear flows a lot of air through it. Both sets are holding up really well so far and both are light weight.
