Yes they have raced 450’s before as a privateer team many years ago…their 450 effort is brand new for everyone working at TLD…

It is pretty funny to watch all these different colored KTMs running around. And hey, kudos to them they made it work. Personally, I would buy one over a Japanese bike any day.

Here’s the 1st TLD Team…

There are many like it; but, this one is mine.

All jokes aside, the GasGas Red Bull TLD Team is, in-fact, a new entity. Furthermore, I know of NO OTHER riding gear manufacturer or helmet painter that has a team that’s racing and placing.

I’m jus’ sayin’…

When I was really young, back in the 70s... I used to read my older brother's books about moto in the 50s and 60s... like shown here, racing a dirt bike back then was a Real Man's gig....... taking an extremely overweight bike, with crap power and suspension, over the same rough ground we go over today, at speed, truly required massive balls.... the various books talked a lot about picking lines to help the bike simply survive, and they also talked a lot about the rider truly muscling the bike through the rougher spots.... made me want to moto that much more, especially with the technology of the 70s and more so, the 80s...props to anybody that ever raced a bike like the one shown in anger....

Worth noting that this team has several super Moto national titles with Jeff Ward on a 450, gold X Games medals with Hanny (SX) and Wardy in SM... plus Ben Townley was on the podium in 450 Mx multiple times in 2010 MX.
Bike brand is new but the team has been building, growing, and getting results for years now.
