Only $10 for all 2024 SX, MX, and SMX series (regularly $30).
10-15 is pretty realistic for him at first. He’s obviously a great talent and would improve with more time and SX experience. It isn’t a slam on him, it’s a compliment.
It’s hard to say if the longer “real” SX mains would be a help or hindrance for him initially. Last night he had decent starts, and nearly maintained his positions for the most part. Longer mains could allow him to be even more consistent or could give more opportunity for the big mistake. Hard to say.
His starts definitely wouldn’t hurt him in SX! Last night his positions after the first laps were 6-3-2 and his finishes were 7-4-4. Double the length of the mains and it could go either way whether he would have finished higher or lower, but I don’t think he’d have caught anyone in front of him last night.
Add the missing SX regulars and logic says that a top 10 is a great finish for him, a top 15 reasonable as things stand right now.
Nothing wrong with that and if he spends a couple years riding and practicing SX, he probably gets up to competing for top 5s and maybe even podiums on a regular basis.
he rode well tho, and deserves credit for going out of his comfort zone,
The Shop
J-Mart was sneaky good. How long he´s been out of the races and with not that long on a bike, he was just a tick off the top guys.
Pit Row
I hate being “that guy” but I really hope his stay in the USA has made him want to come here full time in the future. Imagine (1) MX2 world title, (2)+ MX1 world titles and an AMA 450 MX title. It’d be legendary.
My point was, that some people was considering Tiga as a 10-15 place guy at SX. But he beat Barcia. With that logic Barcia is the 15-20 place guy
