too good not to share.

I always laugh at CR (or KX) adds in Australia. 10k?? That’s kinda ridiculous. Especially considering the 07-current yz is a better bike, and an off the showroom floor yz or yz-f would/could be 10k, a mate of mine got his 2017 for 8.5k.
I guess though if someone will pay the money then that’s what it’s worth
Someone spend a lot of time and money on that thing, but somehow didn't notice the yellow fork guards haha.
"Bike has done maybe 6 hours since new in 2007". The ad says it has done 666kms....hmmmm...so when it has been ridden it has been ridden at an average speed of 111kph!!!
Some people really are idiots I guess!
price of bikes here in AUS are bullshit.
$13k for a new KTM 250 2t and the rest... even second hand bikes that are flogged out go for $5k. its bullshit.

I sold my '08 (in 2011 with roughly 15 hours) in less than a week to a dude in QLD (I'm in NSW) and all he had to go by were my photos, description, and his brother in-law that lived locally and had no idea about bikes. $2,600
Had so many fuckwits trying to trade CRF 50's and telling me I wouldn't get more than 1500 bucks.
I gave him a fair bit of stuff too.
My old man had passed away a month earlier and I needed to help pay for his funeral and help my mum.
I had the stock pipe on it when I advertised it and gave the FMF to my brother, I may or maynot have taken to his with a hammer in a fit of rage.
They're only a few of the photos I had in my advertisements.
Some more... I'm just drankn' and hijacking the shit outta this thread. I cleaned the piss out of our bikes, loved it.
Edit again: Burp. Here I is fangn' the bitch with my old-man behind the camera loving every minute.
Drink. Cheech.

If it only has 6 hours why doesnt it have the original parts on it? Its easy to say 6 hrs with no hr meter. Luckily once hour meters started coming on bikes they weeded out the bullshitters.
Holy shit 10 grand for an 07 cr250? Is that what bikes go for over there? No wonder theres only been a couple pros from over there. What do they go for new 30k? That would be like 2500 over here.

If you be a tight ass and wait for the run outs you can get a new bike for around 8-9ish depending.
Usually new they’re around the 11-12 mark though.

EDIT: Meant to quote *your other post but, in the words of RupertX: "Burp".
That was without the rebuild.
I was quoted over a grand to rebuild from Hoppo (worked for FC) even if I sourced my own parts, or buy the tools and learn how to split the cases and fix everything. I still have that fucking piston on my desk with Obelix standing on it and giving me a thumbs up.

Do you know the story why he went back over?
I had many an argument with, let's be nice and call them idiots, at different tracks who thought that Hoppo was full of himself simply because of his American background. The thing is those same idiots didn't know shit what they were talking about....just one quick look at their bikes said everything!
I only ever found Hoppo to be down to earth, honest, hard working and above all, very helpful. He did our motor work and suspension. He was always happy to chat on the phone anytime to help out with any issues we were having. I actually can't say enough good things about the guy!
I just bought an ‘04 KX125 for $2300 which I thought was expensive as it was in rough shape. It was a 17 yr old kid who needed cash for his first car so I didn’t mind paying what he was asking but I knocked off $200 because I drove 2hrs and he lied about the condition. Amongst other things it was missing a breather hose so when I started it up it was spitting oil all over my foot ?

Quite the opposite actually, our wages are much higher, we have free health care, when you work out the exchange rate our new bike prices are quite similar. You guys get bent over in so many ways and cry freedom it’s kind of sad actually.

It may well work out ok at the moment with the exchange rate but even when the Aussie dollar was much stronger, like 20 cents stronger bike prices were still the same. We get screwed with the prices of bikes and a whole lot of other things as well!!!
