Looks like he extended his contract through 2021. That’s some good news for the day.

He’s a legend, and can still beat anyone on his day, awesome news. If everything goes to plan, we might get to see him end his career at a MXdN at Maggiora, which would be the perfect way to go out

I recently re-watched an interview with Pit Beirer (sp?) , from a year or two back, about Antonio.

It went along the lines that they thought he would have stopped a few years ago, but Tony still enjoys racing, and still believes he can improve.

Pit basically said AC can expect to have full support / a contract for as long as he wants to keep going.

I truly hope that is the case - too often, great riders have been treated quite dreadfully by Moto companies, once they are not at the utter pinnacle of their careers.

If there ever is a rider that can be a True , Genuine 'Ambassador' for a company, it's Antonio Cairoli for KTM.

It's not going to be easy....he is 34 years old. But man, would I love to see him get another title and tie Everts. Better still, two more titles!

Cairoli is one of the only guys who could honestly do it even at his age. The guy is an animal, and can beat anybody on the MXGP stage on any given day.

He had a good offer from yamaha but ktm re-lanced the offer so he signed orange.
Happy about that. I see him in blue in the future, maybe his last year in mxgp or as a brand ambassador.

Why wouldn’t he? He had quite a bit of success on Yamaha as well.

But his legacy is tied to DeCarli more than the brand of bike, right?

Couldn't agree more! We were supposed to be at Ernee this year and that's out, so shooting for Maggiora next year. Would love to be there if it's Tony's final race on the big stage.

Let's just agree that Herlings, Gajser and Cairoli are a cut above the rest in MXGP right now. Prado has the ability to join them. Saying Tony can't win is ridiculous. The real question is outside of those 3 (and maybe Prado) can anyone else get an overall?

(Brent your profile pic is freaking me out still)
