If they would have invested 5% of the MotoGP money into motocross, they wouldn‘t have to sell vintage bikes as new..

My understanding is that the big reason companies go MotoGP racing are sales in China, India and other eastern markets. Which are by the way much bigger than the US market. MotoGP and Dakar are big deals in eastern markets. Its why Honda went back to Dakar and KTM is now in MotoGP.

Crazy thing is he is on his way winning Motogp without winning a race in the class. Ever. That's probably a first in major racing series?

I don't follow road racing very closely, do they have to kick start their Moto GP bikes?

I can't wait for the 22' Suzuki so people can stop spamming about dead memes.

Yeah they kickstart em.
But before, they change the coupler under the handlebar.

Tim Ferry did it. (On a Suzuki, if I remember correctly.) 125 Supercross Champion.

If you've been watching, its only a matter of time before Mir wins a race, he's scary fast at the end of races and the Suzuki is fantastic for tire life. Alex Marquez definitely threw a wrench into the last race, that was wild.

True, Suzuki sales a billion scooters a year in Asia and a couple hundred mx bikes in the US.

You don’t know what you’re talking about. Nicky won two races, including his home race at Laguna Seca that I was fortunate enough to watch while sitting next to Michael Jordan at the Red Bull hospitality in turn one. Good times...
RIP champ.

Suzuki might be lacking on MX development but they sure know how to manufacture competitive bikes. As for anyone thinking all other brands are way ahead (in motocross) just because of electric start you are clueless about how modern top tech engines look like.

Hell, yeah! He’s my boy. Last I knew he was working for UPS. I have a sweet painting of Jake and his teammate Aaron Yates that the Jordan team sent to team sponsors. I have it hanging in my boy’s room.

The real story of the race was Alex Marquez getting a second straight podium on the funky-handling/ super fast Honda

Cant be true. All the business magnates and titans of industry on Vital have told us that Suzuki is dead and is going to file for bankruptcy soon.

This.
I mean, they must have been lucky to sell motorcycles all this time since the 1950s, since they clearly don't know a thing about business, engineering, finance...

While all of this is very entertaining...I'm disappointed in the Vital Gallery...

Not one of you posted "Not Moto" like we wouldv'e done before The COVID.

Grinning

Stoked for Suzuki; but, I wish they'd have NOT listened to Dorna...

Hi, we're Dorna! Give us all your road-racing money and we'll distribute it to the various national road-racing series' as we see fit.

My reponse: How's that working out?
