Im going to buy one when the season starts. I was looking in to a new 2008 model but then i saw that they had 2010 models also (the 2008 model later disappeared). Is Suzuki thinking about developing new 2strokes or will they do as Yamaha keep producing the same bike every year?

as of last year, Suzuki was still selling the two strokes in Europe and other countries.
They won't do it in the USA because they are afraid of hurting the 4 stroke sales.... what little they have.

I'd never spend FIFTY-FIVE thousand Kroners on any motocross bike.

I'd spend my Kroners more methodically, yet with random abandon.

Correct, the Suzuki 2 strokes are for Canadians and others, us Americans don't deserve to have them shipped here....(sarcasm)

I'm a loyal Suzuki fan but I'm dissappointed at their decision not to sell them here, and their excuses are BS. (I'm a Suzuki dealer, I ask often 'why' we can't get them)

If you really want one buy one a few years old, they haven't changed a thing.

RMs are defintely sweet 2-strokes, especially if they made a 150.

They need to slap that motor ii the RMZ250F chassis.

They would just sell piles of them.

You could be correct... however they probably only give one to each dealership to sell

Suzuki still sells 2 strokes down this end of the world, they are brand new 08 models, have not changed even the model code but still keep making them new,

i just got my new RM125 this week, get to run it in on sunday,

Your theory holds no water, look how many 450's are left out there....All the mfgs clearly over-stocked their 4 strokes...Not so simple afterall huh.

The 2 strokes will sell for more, and sooner, than a 4 stroke. I'm on the front lines and see it everyday.

Thats the thing. The 08 model was cheaper then the 10 model when they had them both!

How many of you are willing to spend 7 to 7.5k for a new 2-stroke? Just because the technology is old doesn't mean it would be any cheaper. I get the impression everyone chanting for new 2-stroke think they're going to be cheap to buy or something. If you're looking to stay in budget keep buying used, plenty of them out there.

Because the two stroke has fewer and more simple parts, it costs about $1,000 less to build a 250T versus a 450F. That's why a new YZ retails $1000 less than a YZ450.

The reason bikes are so expensive is because the Dollar is so weak against the Yen.

Problem with buying them 2 strokes used is that supply will dry up. Where are the new ones coming from to replenish the good used ones? In 5 years what kind of 2 strokes will be available used that aren't clapped out roaches? Those that don't want the 2 stroke to die are not supporting the cause by buying new. Thus it unfortunately will die.

I'd rather the didn't the last generation of steel framed rm 2 strokes couldn't get any better and would prefer they didn't go Honda and ruin such an amazing package yet again the rmz's handle better than anything available so as long as Suzuki keeps making the rm 2 strokes ill keep buying em .....finally found a percent suspension setting on my 06 rm250 and of all the bikes I've owned or ridden 2 stroke or 4 stroke any year make or model that 06 rm250 is without a doubt the very best bike I have ever ridden this coming from someone who spent 20 years on hondas with deviations here and there for me there is no better bike available and today finally having the bike setup echo'd that loud and clear literally the best day I've had riding since before my horrendous crash that bike is pure magic on all fronts didn't even need a revalved just springs to match my weight I am more than pleased with that bike

Prices(USD):
2010 250 2stroke is 7 624
2008 250 2stroke was 7 352

2010 RMZ 450 is 8 443
2011 RMZ 450 is 9 398

2010 RMZ 250 is 8 579
2011 RMZ 250 is 9 125

As you can see they are selling the 2010 450 very cheap. its even cheaper then the 2010 RMZ 250

And when you sell your used 450 you wont get near as much as the 250 2stroke.
To find a used 2stroke in decent condition is very hard in Sweden. If you find one you have to go and pick it up the same day becouse the next it will be sold...

So i still thinks buying a new 2stroke is cheaper.
And then you have to maintain it, and thats also cheaper with a twostroke
