Have you checked the dealer? Maybe PC or Yosh?

Are you rebuilding them? It isn't really necessary to take apart the right side cartridge. It's an "open bath" on that side, so oil flows in and out of that cartridge freely.

If you do need to disassemble it, try Race Tech. They have tools for everything.

My next door neighbor works at MB1 Part time dissembling suspension and they have Performance Parts for the TAC forks and tools that they sell for this suspension. I think the guy there works at Showa still part time consulting. Check them at www.mb1suspension.com

The best and right tool is Suzuki part number 09940-32810.

It's a hard plastic tool that fits perfectly and won't scratch the color of the cap.

It's a must have tool for the 2013 to 2015 RMZ (both 250 and 450) and 2015 KX450F with TAC (Triple Air Chamber) because the tool has to have a notch to fit over that portion of the cap that comes inward with the bleed screw.

This tool also fits the 48mm KX250F SFF forks but these bikes (forks) don't have that notch, so other suspension tools may apply on these.

Lastly, there are other less expensive tools on the market that can be modified to fit into these caps. This gets the job done, but overall, it's just best to get the right tool and this Suzuki tool is perfect for the job.

That's not the right tool.

That tool removes the bottom bolt.

He needs the cap tool for the spring side...which is now also the cap tool for the non-spring side on the TAC. It's a very specialized tool...and it's often the one that is the most misunderstood.

I also don't think it makes business sense to develop/manufacture this tool because of the cost verses the market. So...it doesn't surprise me that no one offers one other than Suzuki, (well...actually, Kawasaki will now have to offer one with the 2015 TAC).

Paw Paw's link looks like the correct one to me, a 2 in 1 for both sides?

I've been using the WP shock reservoir tool on the TAC cartridges, the 4 posts fit into the notches and work just fine.

Correction - you are right. This Motion Pro tool will work.

I didn't notice that they had changed the one end. The earlier version of this tool did not have the lower step on it, which clearly fits into the cap.

So Motion Pro part number: 08-0569. Retails for about $41.

I knew they listed it on their website as fitting the new TAC fork.
